Counterfeit bills

MONROE TOWNSHIP - State police at Selinsgrove reported a black male between the ages of 18 and 25 passed two counterfeit $50 bills at Giant in the Monroe Market Place at 6:20 p.m. Saturday.

Police said the man who passed the counterfeit money is 6 feet, 3 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a white T-shirt and knee-length blue shorts.

Sunbury man hospitalized

WEST CHILLISQUAQUE TOWNSHIP - Maurice Wilkinson, 68, of Sunbury, was transported by Milton Ambulance to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville after suffering a medical emergency that led to an accident Wednesday afternoon in front of 4635 Route 405 in this Northumberland County township.

State police at Milton reported Wilkinson was driving a 2002 GMC Sierra south shortly after 1 p.m. when he had a medical emergency, causing his vehicle to exit the right side of the road, strike a traffic sign, descend an embankment and hit a parked 1995 tractor-trailer.

Wilkinson's vehicle sustained disabling damage while the tractor-trailer had minor damage.

Inmate charged

COAL TOWNSHIP - Gregory Garrett Brown, 51, an inmate at SCI-Coal Township, was charged by Trooper David Myers of state police at Stonington with aggravated harassment by a prisoner and harassment relating to an April 29 incident at the state prison.

Police reported Brown allegedly threw urine from his cell at Correctional Officer Jose Brito. Police said the urine struck Brito in the face and chest.
