Juveniles cited
SHAMOKIN - Three juveniles, a 17-year-old Shamokin male, a 14-year-old Paxinos female, and a 15-year-old Mount Carmel female, were cited for underage drinking and violating Shamokin's curfew ordinance after being found intoxicated on Packer Street near Rock Street at 4:30 a.m. Saturday.
Liquor law violations
WILLIAMSPORT - An area fire company and a Mount Carmel business were cited Thursday by the Pennsylvania State Police's Bureau for Liquor Enforcement.
The Brady Fire Association No. 1 of Johnson City, of Ranshaw, was cited for failing to maintain complete and truthful records covering the operation of the licensed business for a period of two years, immediately preceding April 2 concerning the local option small games of chance act. The fire company also used, or permitted to be used on the inside of the licensed premises, a loudspeaker or similar device where the sound of music or other entertainment could be heard beyond the property line.
The 5 C's, 15 E. Fifth St., Mount Carmel, was cited for failing to maintain complete and truthful records covering the operation of the licensed business for a period of two years, immediately preceding Jan. 13.
The charges will be brought before an administrative law judge, who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge and can mandate training for the licensee.
