Public drunkenness
SHAMOKIN - Andrew Reich III, 22, of 720 N. Franklin St., was cited for public drunkenness by Shamokin City Police Patrolman William Zalinski after being found under the influence of alcohol in the 400 block of North Shamokin Street at 3:10 a.m. Saturday.
Counterfeit money
MONROE TOWNSHIP - State police at Selinsgrove are investigating the use of counterfeit money at several businesses along Routes 11 and 15 on Saturday.
Police report the suspects, described as four black males used counterfeit bills to make purchases at Aldi's, Auto Zone, Panera Bread, Michael's and Walmart, between 5:45 and 7:15 p.m. Two of the males were described as wearing white t-shirts, a third was wearing a black and gray jacket and dark hat, while the fourth wore a red t-shirt.
Police say the investigation continues into the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 570-374-8145.
Harassment
SHAMOKIN - Richard D. Kleman Jr., 40, June E. Schaffner, 40, both of 545 S. Seventh St., and a 13-year-old female were all cited for harassment following the investigation into a Dec. 10 incident at Kleman's residence.
According to Shamokin City Police Cpl. Jarrod Scandle, the offenses occurred in a family dispute when the juvenile struck Schaffner in the face, Schaffner had physical contact with the juvenile and Kleman struck the juvenile in the face, causing her nose to bleed.
Guilty pleas
SHAMOKIN - Jonathan Gregory, 29, of 869 W. Spruce St., Coal Township, and Charles Troup III, 21, of 439 W. Gowen St., Shamokin, were sentenced to one year probation and fined $300 each after the two men pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia during their preliminary hearings Tuesday before Magisterial District Judge John Gembic.
The two men were charged by Coal Township Police after a traffic stop near Odd Fellows Cemetery Oct. 12.
