TVs stolen

COAL TOWNSHIP - Two brothers are accused of stealing multiple televisions from Walmart Supercenter, Route 61, earlier this year.

Justin A. Klinger, 23, of 1724 Maple Ave., Coal Township, was arraigned Tuesday morning by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic on two counts of retail theft and a count of criminal conspiracy. He's held in Snyder County Prison, Selinsgrove, on $5,000 bail.

Michael T. Klinger, 26, of 39 Middle St., Locustdale, was expected to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon on three counts of retail theft and a count of criminal conspiracy. Bail also was expected at $5,000. He's currently held in Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, on another case.

The brothers were allegedly together for thefts on Jan. 16 and Jan. 19 of five TVs valued at a combined $677.50. Michael T. Klinger is also accused in a third theft Feb. 2 of three TVs valued at $905 total. Police say the brothers were filmed by surveillance cameras taking the TVs and walking out the store's front entrance. They're also accused of a similar theft at the Buckhorn Walmart.

'Magic' theft

COAL TOWNSHIP - Thomas Smith, 36, of 249 S. Franklin St., Shamokin, is charged by township Patrolman Jason Adams with retail theft and criminal trespass. Smith is accused of stealing 62 packs of "Magic: The Gathering" cards on March 10 from Walmart Supercenter, Route 61, valued at $259.16. He had previously been barred from entering the store.

Drunk driving

SHAMOKIN - Lucille Alma Dunleavy, 58, of 305 S. Harrison St., Shamokin, is charged by city Patrolman Shane Mowery with two counts of driving under the influence and one count of careless driving. Police say Dunleavy failed field sobriety testing after she drove a car into a utility pole at Water and Diamond streets behind the city's downtown on Feb. 8. Her blood alcohol content was 0.228 percent, according to a criminal complaint.

Card stolen

SHAMOKIN - Rosemary Reigle, 49, of 804 N. Washington St., Apt. 1, Shamokin, is charged by city Chief Darwin Tobias III with access device fraud and theft. Reigle is accused of stealing a debit card from Megan Corbacio on March 7 and using it to buy a pack of cigarettes for $5.72 and withdraw $100 from an ATM.

Pipe, needle

SHAMOKIN - Tina Moyle, 41, of 425 N. Shamokin St., Apt. 4, Shamokin, is charged by city Chief Darwin Tobias III with possession of drug paraphernalia. Moyle is accused of possessing a tinfoil smoking pipe, a syringe and a spoon during a check of her apartment by Northumberland County Probation officers on March 11. Police say she admitted to using the items to ingest "spice" and heroin.

Domestic violence

SHAMOKIN - Jimmie Howard, 53, of 139 S. Pearl St., Shamokin, is charged by city Cpl. Jarrod Scandle with simple assault and harassment. Howard is accused of choking a woman and bitting her upper lip during an assault inside his home March 10. The alleged victim suffered bruising and bleeding but refused medical treatment, according to a criminal complaint.

Pleads guilty

SHAMOKIN - Elizabeth Marie Cruz, 33, of Shamokin, pleaded guilty Tuesday to summary harassment and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic to pay a $200 fine plus court costs. She was cited by city Patrolman William Zalinski for striking two people March 9 inside 914 E. Chestnut St. Two counts of simple assault were withdrawn.
