Weapon on school property
MOUNT CARMEL - A 12-year-old male from Mahanoy City was charged by Lt. Chris Buhay with possession of a weapon on school property and disorderly conduct for possessing a four inch folding knife while attending Compass Academy, 30 W. Third St., Mount Carmel.
Drunk in public
MOUNT CARMEL - Richard Conner, 47, of 343 S. Oak St., Mount Carmel, was cited with public drunkenness by borough police chief Todd Owens for an incident that occurred in the 300 block of S. Oak St. at 9:30 p.m. Feb. 27.
Owens said he observed Conner severely intoxicated.
Conner was also listed as a wanted person through Northumberland County Adult Probation and was taken into custody.
Disorderly conduct
MOUNT CARMEL - Wendy L. Green, 48, of 120 E. Fourth St., Mount Carmel, was cited by Patrolman Matthew Dillman with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct for an incident at the Turkey Hill Minit Market, Fifth and Market Streets, at 9 p.m. March 2.
Police were summoned to the store for Green who was allegedly causing a disturbance and found her hiding in the walk-in cooler. She was intoxicated and also had urinated herself, they said.
Green is also cited by Lt. Chris Buhay for an incident at the Top Star Minit Market, Third and Maple streets, at 8 am. March 8.
Green was found in the bathroom of the store under the influence and had to be transported to the hospital by ambulance, police said.
Drunk in public
MOUNT CARMEL - Joshua M. Plasters, 28, of 136 S. Oak St., Mount Carmel, was cited by Patrolman Jason Drumheller with public drunkenness for an incident at 1 a.m. March 9.
Police said they were summoned to the Turkey Hill Minit Market at Fifth and Market streets and found Plasters intoxicated and unresponsive.
