Girl, 6, hurt in three-vehicle crash

WINFIELD - A young girl suffered a minor injury in three-vehicle crash on Route 15 at the Unioin-Snyder County line at 10 a.m. Friday.

State police at Milton said Jessica M. Hughes, 26, of Jersey Shore, was traveling too fast for conditions when she lost control of her 2006 Ford Explorer on a wet road. She drove her vehicle over the center median and into oncoming traffic, striking a 2010 Ford F-150 driven by Colin R. Clayberger, 67, of Sunbury. Clayberger's vehicle then collided with a 2005 Ford Focus driven by Robert A. Ciecierega, 67 of Geneseo, N.Y.

Hughes, Clayberger and Ciecierega were uninjured but a 6-year-old girl in Hughes' vehicle was treated for a minor injury at the scene. Hughes and Clayberger's vehicles were towed.

Hughes will be cited with driving at an unsafe speed, police said.
