Two-car crash
LEWIS TOWNSHIP - Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 12:20 p.m. Friday on Old Turnpike Road (Route 45), near Four Bells Church Road, in Lewis Township.
State police at Milton report a 2004 Buick LeSabre, driven by William J. Pollack, 78, of Kulpmont, was stopped in the right lane of State Route 45 waiting for the vehicle in front of him to turn right into a private drive. Behind them, a 2007 Ford Explorer, driven by Chester A. Rowe, 77, of Milton, failed to stop and rear ended the LeSabre.
Pollack's vehicle spun counterclockwise across the roadway and came to rest on the south berm of the road. Rose's vehicle stopped on the north berm of the road.
Pollack and his passenger, Mary A. Pollack, 78, of Kulpmont, were injured in the crash, as was Rowe's passenger, Mary Geiswite, 71, of Milton. All three were transported to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, for treatment. Police cited Rowe for a careless driving violation.
