DUI

MOUNT CARMEL - Philip Donald Fallat, 29, of 1064 Pine St., Kulpmont, was charged by Ralpho Township Patrolman Chris Dailey with driving on the wrong side of the road, refusing to provide a driver's license, registration and proof of insurance to a police officer and two counts of driving under the influence after he was pulled over near All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg, shortly before midnight July 26.

Fallat refused a blood test and failed a series of field sobriety tests, police said.

Retail theft

COAL TOWNSHIP - Patrolman Edward Purcell will cite Ryan Moroz, 25, and Brooke Mulac, 19, both of 912 Spruce St., Kulpmont, for retail theft involving an incident shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday at Walmart Supercenter.

Moroz will be cited for two counts of retail theft for attempting to walk out of the store with a zipper hooded shirt and pants valued at $35.28 and removing an Xbox controller valued at $74.98 earlier in the day. Mulac will be cited for one count of retail theft for allegedly placing infant clothing into a shopping bag and leaving the store without paying for the merchandise valued at $40.86.
