Public drunkenness
SHAMOKIN - Charges of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct were filed at Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III against Amichae Young, 33, of 409 E. Packer St., Shamokin.
According to city Patrolman Raymond Siko II, Young was found intoxicated while pushing an unidentified child in a baby carriage around 11 a.m. Sept. 16 near 400 block of East Packer Street. Witnesses observed Young having difficulty walking and nearly overturning the carriage.
Northumberland County Children and Youth Services assisted at the scene.
DUI, suspended license
SHAMOKIN - David J. Swatski, 32, of 126 S. Main St., Herndon, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, drug paraphernalia and two counts of drug possession.
In the criminal complaint, city Patrolman Shane Mowery said Swatski was found by assisting officer Chris Grow of the Ralpho Township police department unconscious in his vehicle in the westbound lane of the 700 block of Sunbury Street around 2 a.m. Sept. 13. The vehicle was in drive and Swatski's foot was on the brake. Swatski smelled of alcohol and had methadone and a pipe in his possession.
Disorderly conduct
MOUNT CARMEL - Kathryn M. Emburg, 54, of 40 S. Vine St., was cited by borough police Patrolman Matthew Dillman for disorderly conduct by allowing her dog to bark continuously at 9:30 p.m. Sept. 1.
Dogs at large
MOUNT CARMEL - James E. Doak, 46, of 31 N. Locust St., was cited for violating the dog law by continuously allowing his dog to be unleashed and unsupervised at 5 p.m. Sept. 26. While running free, the dog caused damage to the property of Janelle Williams.
Disorderly conduct
MOUNT CARMEL - Borough police Lt. Chris Buhay cited Jason A. Dillow, 30, of 434 N. Walnut St., for disorderly conduct for a physical disturbance outside the Sons of Poland Club at 3 a.m. Monday.
Public drunkenness
MOUNT CARMEL - Two borough males, a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old, were cited for public drunkenness by borough police Patrolman William Adamski related to a 9 a.m. Sept. 23 incident at the Compass Academy, where the two boys allegedly reported for school under the influence of narcotics.
Theft of services
MOUNT CARMEL - Dennis J. Petruskevich, 53, of 6 S. Spruce St., was cited by borough police Cpl. David Donkochik, with theft of services after he allegedly ran an extension cord from a neighbor's property to his home in an attempt to power his home upon the loss of electrical service, without permission.
