Two injured
TURBOT TOWNSHIP - Two Watsontown men suffered moderate injuries in an accident late Friday night on the I-180 off-ramp just north of I-80.
State police at Milton reported John R. Nancarvis, 46, was driving a 1993 Plymouth Voyager south on I-180 toward the off-ramp for I-80 westbound at 11:45 p.m. when he failed to maintain control of his vehicle upon entering a right curve in the road. The Voyager then slid sideways southwest and struck guard rails along the left edge of the road.
The Voyager continued southwest down an embankment and overturned before coming to rest on its driver's side on an adjacent I-80 off-ramp to Route 147 south.
Police reported Nancarvis and his passenger, John E. Young, 41, suffered moderate injuries and were transported by ambulance to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Both men underwent emergency room treatment before being released, according to a nursing supervisor.
Police said Nancarvis didn't possess a valid driver's license and fled from the scene. He was cited for careless driving and faces possible additional charges.
