PFA, assault

TREVORTON - A Trevorton man who allegedly threatened to burn down the house of a village woman after violating a protection from abuse order Tuesday night is behind bars today.

Jessie O. Marshall, 47, of 722 W. Market St., was arraigned at 1 p.m. Wednesday by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III and committed to Northumberland County Prison, Sunbury, in lieu of $40,000 cash bail on all charges.

According to a criminal complaint filed by Trooper Thomas Leib of state police at Stonington, Marshall went to the home of his former live-in girlfriend, Tiffany Bridi, at 722 W. Market St., at 9:34 p.m., which violated a PFA order Bridi filed against him.

After being given time to gather his belongings and told not to return to the home, police said Marshall became irate, used obscenities and threatened to burn down Bridi's house and harm her.

Police said Marshall returned to the residence a short time later in an enraged state. Police reported Marshall, who demanded his coat, failed to listen to commands to calm down multiple times and resisted arrest when Leib attempted to handcuff him.

Marshall then approached Trooper Wendy Keefer and pushed her toward the steps at the residence, prompting to Keefer to use a Taser on him.

In addition to violating the PFA order, Marshall is charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and harassment.

MOUNT CARMEL - Kazimir Craig Grohowski, 43, of 515 W. Avenue, Mount Carmel, was charged by Patrolman Matthew Dillman with causing a public nuisance and disorderly conduct involving an Aug. 24 incident at his residence.

Police reported Grohowski allowed a large amount of garbage to accumulate on his property and in a shed.

MARION HEIGHTS - Matthew M. Zigarski, 23, of 126 Washington Drive, Den-Mar Gardens, was charged by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman Kelly Campbell with theft, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, harassment, restrictions on alcoholic beverages and driving under suspension.

Police reported Zigarski is accused of stealing a vehicle owned by Joseph D'Andrea, of 135 E. Warsaw St., Marion Heights, at about 4:30 a.m. July 12. Police found the vehicle about an hour later in the 100 block of East Seventh Street in Mount Carmel.
