MOUNT CARMEL - James Dwayne Eichert, 41, of 410 E. Wiconisco Ave., Tower City, was charged by township police with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia and a summary offense of driving with a suspended license after he was found driving with a suspended license July 5.
Township police said they found a small amount of marijuana and a pipe in the vehicle driven by Eichert.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 24 before Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones.
Retail theft
COAL TOWNSHIP - Crystal (Puppo) Wengert, 30, of Port Carbon, and Leilani Alcisto, 28, of Pottsville, have been charged by Patrolman Matthew Hashuga with retail theft and criminal conspiracy to commit retail theft for allegedly stealing $434.36 in merchandise from Walmart Supercenter July 23.
Citations issued
COAL TOWNSHIP - Code Enforcement Officer Chris Petrovich has cited two people for ordinance violations.
- John Mack, of Newtown, was cited for failing to obtain an occupancy permit and report the status of occupancy for a property he owns at 34 Sherman St.
- Mary E. Manney, of Milton, was cited for the same violations for a property she owns at 1011 W. Willow St.
Unauthorized use
COAL TOWNSHIP - Carrie E. Feudale, 24, of 52 S. Pearl St., Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman David Sage with unauthorized use of a vehicle.
Police reported Feudale is accused of operating a 2003 Jeep Liberty owned by her father, Francis Feudale, without his permission Friday and Saturday.

COAL TOWNSHIP - Patrolman Edward Purcell charged Michael K. Sejuit, 42, of 335 N. Maple St., Mount Carmel, with retail theft for allegedly attempting to steal $632.31 in merchandise from Walmart Supercenter Aug. 13.

COAL TOWNSHIP - Andrea M. Bishop, 38, of 1337 Scott St., Kulpmont, was charged by Patrolman Matthew Hashuga with retail theft for allegedly stealing $321.91 in merchandise from Walmart Supercenter between June 25 and July 26.
Car damaged
MILTON - James Morrison, 28, of Trevorton, reported the door latches on his 2001 Chrysler Sebring were damaged between 5:30 p.m. Friday and 11:30 p.m. Tuesday while it was parked at Robins Marine along Route 405 in West Chillisquaque Township. Damage ie estimated at $100.
