Drugs
RALPHO TOWNSHIP - David A. Dehoutaint, 38, of 133 S. Market St., Shamokin, was arraigned at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III on two felony counts of drug possession, a felony count of criminal conspiracy and two misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance or paraphernalia.
Ralpho Township Patrolman Christopher Grow and Shamokin Police Chief Bryan Primerano, said a confidential informant notified the Northumberland/Montour Drug Task Force and Pennsylvania State Attorney General BNI Office at approximately 6 p.m. Nov. 5 that through text messaging, Justin Dobson offered to sell two bags of heroin for $60.
At approximately 9 p.m., the informant met with Dobson in a white Chrysler driven by Dehoutaint in the Weis Markets parking lot. Dehoutaint participated in the sale of the heroin by retrieving the drug and handing it to the informant.
Dehoutaint was committed to the Northumberland County Prison on $2,500 bail.
Thefts
MOUNT CARMEL - Three 14-year-old boys from Mount Carmel were cited by Patrolman William Adamski for criminal trespass relating to an incident that occurred at 4:30 p.m. July 25.
Police said the males trespassed onto the property of Moncavage Woodworks, located on North Spruce Street. The males were found on the roof area of the building.
Stolen waders
MOUNT CARMEL - Two sets of fishing waders were located by Mount Carmel police over the past week and the waders are suspected of being stolen from a vehicle or residence. To claim the waders, contact the police department at 570-339-6020.
Theft
COAL TOWNSHIP - Christian D. Krych, 19, of Shamokin, was cited by township police for retail theft after allegedly stealing $24.73 worth of merchandise from Walmart June 14.
Theft
COAL TOWNSHIP - Valerie M. Vickery, 24, of Frackville, was cited by township police for retail theft after she allegedly stole $79 worth of jewelry from Walmart July 9 and then returned the merchandise without a receipt and received a gift card in the amount of $79.
Retail theft
COAL TOWNSHIP - Noreen A. Landin, 51, and her husband, Sergio B. Landin, 35, of Shamokin, were charged by Patrolman Matthew Hashuga with eight counts of retail theft and one count of criminal conspiracy to commit retail theft involving a series of incidents at Walmart Supercenter.
Police said the couple are accused of stealing $1,053.63 in merchandise between May 15 and July 12.
Bank bags stolen
UPPER MAHANTONGO TOWNSHIP - State police at Schuylkill Haven reported someone stole two bank bags from a blue Ford 500 sedan owned by Harry Snyder, 64, of Klingerstown, while it was parked at 1680 Ridge Road between midnight and 10 a.m. Thursday.
Anyone with information about the theft is urged to call state police at Schuylkill Haven at 570-739-1330.
Open lewdness
SHAMOKIN - Richard P. Conner, 46, of 115 W. Montgomery St., Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman Raymond Siko II with open lewdness, disorderly conduct and criminal trespass involving a disturbance at about 4:30 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of North Rock Street.
According to a criminal complaint filed at the office of Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III, Conner defecated on a sidewalk and in a yard at 822 N. Rock St. Police said Conner also left a feces-filled handkerchief on the victim's property.
Contraband
COAL TOWNSHIP - Lannette M. Hadley, 47, of Harrisburg, was charged by Trooper David Myers of state police at Stonington with contraband, possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of a small amount of marijuana relating to a Dec. 15 at SCI-Coal Township.
Police reported Hadley was caught attempting to smuggle marijuana in a beverage cup to inmate Barry Coleman.
Aggravated assault
COAL TOWNSHIP - Trooper Nicholas Berger of state police at Stonington has charged Devon Smith, an inmate at SCI-Coal Township, with aggravated assault and aggravated harassment by prisoner involving a July 15 disturbance at the prison.
Police said Smith is accused of kicking maintenance employee Michael Delbaugh in the lower leg and spitting on corrections officer Tammy A. Behney during a search of his cell for weapons or contraband.
Curfew violations
SHAMOKIN - Two 15-year-old Shamokin girls and a 14-year-old Dornsife girl were cited by city police for a curfew violation involving an incident at 2:20 a.m. Thursday on Rock Street.
Harassment
SHAMOKIN - A 15-year-old Coal Township female was cited by Shamokin police for harassment relating to an incident at 2:40 a.m. Wednesday on Terrace Avenue.
Police said the teen is accused of threatening to punch a 13-year-old boy.
Scattering rubbish
SHAMOKIN - City police cited Samantha Fryberger, 22, of 19 E. Independence St., Apt. 5, Shamokin, for scattering rubbish relating to an Aug. 1 incident at Independence and Washington streets.
Underage drinking
SHAMOKIN - Christopher R. Garancosky, 20, of 421 N. Shamokin St., Apt. 26, Shamokin, was cited by city police for underage drinking in connection with an incident at 3:10 a.m. Friday at 224 E. Sunbury St.
Public nuisances
SHAMOKIN - Anthony M. Venturino, 33, of Hamden, Conn., was cited twice by Cpl. Bryan Primerano for causing a public nuisance for allowing a building he owns to be in danger of collapse.
The citations involve incidents that occurred Sunday and Tuesday.
Property owner cited
SHAMOKIN - Sharon Lynn Ragen, 50, of Kunkletown, was cited by Cpl. Bryan Primerano for causing a public nuisance for allowing a building she owns at 665 Bear Valley Ave. to be in danger of collapse.
Ragen was cited Aug. 10.
Public nuisance
SHAMOKIN - Cpl. Bryan Primerano has cited Miguel Gonzalez, of Brooklyn, N.Y., for causing a public nuisance for allowing a property he owns at 415 S. Market St. to be in danger of collapse.
The citation was issued Tuesday.
Fight charges
SHAMOKIN - Jonathan A. Kindle, 23, of 9 Dewart St., Shamokin, and James Snyder, 18, of 131 W. Sunbury St., Shamokin, were cited by city police for disorderly conduct relating to an incident at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of West Sunbury Street.
Police said Kindle and Snyder were playing football in the middle of the street (Route 61), causing two motorists to apply their brakes to avoid striking them.
