MOUNT CARMEL - A 16-year-old borough male was cited by borough police Patrolman William Adamski for retail theft after allegedly removing merchandise from the Puff's Tobacco Store on South Oak Street at 10 a.m. July 2.
Disorderly conduct
MOUNT CARMEL - Robert Disciullo, 73, of 433 E. Avenue, was cited by borough police Cpl. David Donkochik with disorderly conduct for allegedly making several prank calls to the county 911 center at 5:03 p.m. July 3.
Public drunkenness
MOUNT CARMEL - Nico Tovey, 22, of 25 S. Gold St., Shamokin, was cited by borough police Lt. Christopher Buhay for public drunkenness after being seen causing a disturbance at 3:39 a.m. July 18 at Third and Oak streets.
Harassment
MOUNT CARMEL - Chad C. Zerby, 18, of 137 S. Orange St., was cited by borough police Patrolman Justin Stelma for harassment after he allegedly hit Nicholas Koons in the back with a karate kick at 12:05 a.m. July 23 in the 100 block of South Oak Street.
Public drunkenness
MOUNT CARMEL - Shannon McGinley, 18, of 50 N. Maple St., was cited by borough police patrolman William Adamski for public drunkenness in an incident at 7:32 p.m. July 27 in the 100 block of South Oak Street.
Police said McGinley was seen under the influence after several calls were received about her staggering and falling. She was placed in Northumberland County Prison after being cited on a bench warrant from the Northumberland County Sheriff's Department.
Disorderly conduct
MOUNT CARMEL - Brian G. Madden Jr., 30, of 207 W. Saylor St., Atlas, was cited by borough police Lt. Christopher Buhay for disorderly conduct after he allegedly attempted to start a fight and pushed another male near the Puff's Tobacco Store on South Oak Street at 12:37 p.m. July 28.
Money stolen
EAST NORWEGIAN TOWNSHIP - Coleen Lowry, of Shamokin, was charged by state police at Schuylkill Haven with theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing money from a purse belonging to a Locustdale female that was left in an employees break room at Eyeland Optical at 11:45 a.m. Aug. 2.
Stolen mowers
WATSONTOWN - Five lawn mowers including a Bush Hog Zero-Turn were stolen from Rovendale Ag and Barn, 1300 Susquehanna Trail, Delaware Township, between Aug. 1 and Aug. 9. The equipment is valued at a combined $36,269. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at Milton at 570-524-2662.
Assault
MOUNT CARMEL - Daniel A. Snyder, 28, of 507 W. Olive St., Mount Carmel, pleaded guilty Wednesday to charges of misdemeanor unlawful restraint and simple assault and summary harassment for allegedly choking his wife, Ashley Snyder, striking her head off a wall, trapping her in a bathroom and not letting her call for help at approximately 5:30 p.m. Aug. 4.
He was ordered to pay $478 in fines, court costs and restitution.
Assault, harassment
COAL TOWNSHIP - Joshua Brosious, 21, of 75 Center St., Coal Township, was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III at 9:30 a.m. Thursday on two misdemeanor charges of simple assault and two summary offenses of harassment for allegedly assaulting Adam Trego and Lisa Burd at their home, 233 Center St.
Brosious was released on $2,500 bail.
Criminal mischief
SHAMOKIN - Amy Lee Talmadge, 22, of 1332 Johnson Mill Road, Lewisburg, was arraigned at 10 a.m. Wednesday by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III on misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief, simple assault, disorderly conduct of fighting and disorderly conduct of offensive condition and a summary offense of harassment after she allegedly assaulted Melissa Barnes at her home, 206 N. Vine St., Shamokin.
She was released on $2,500 bail.
Assault, harassment
SHAMOKIN - Brendon Connell, 30, of 624 Cameron St., Shamokin, was arraigned at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III on charges of simple assault and harassment for an incident occurring at 10:39 a.m. Wednesday.
City police said Connell was stopped at the intersection of Pearl and Webster streets. He exited his vehicle screaming, "I'm done, take me to jail," and was agitated and rambling in his speech. He told police he slapped his girlfriend, Kimberly Williams, because she would not let him take his television from their house.
Chief Darwin Tobias visited Williams, who said she and Connell argued, and he picked up a television and began swinging it around. When Connell put the television down, he slapped her across the face and grabbed her by the right wrist and twisted her arm.
He was incarcerated in Northumberland County Prison on $5,000 bail.
