Disorderly conduct
SHAMOKIN - Eric Smith, 42, of 209 S. Franklin St., was cited for disorderly conduct and harassment by Patrolman Scott Weaver following a fight with Ryan Kirchoff at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of South Franklin Street.
Police said that Smith struck Kirchoff in the face and head, causing injury.
Drug charges filed
COAL TOWNSHIP - Jesika L. McCann, 22, of Pearl Street, Shamokin, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after she was found with a smoking pipe and the synthetic marijuana "Spice" on Big Mountain Road, Coal Township, June 28.
Cited for alcohol
SHAMOKIN - Laura Wolf, 19, of 1505 W. Walnut St., Coal Township, was cited for underage purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of alcohol after an incident at 9:37 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of East Cameron Street.
City Police Patrolman Nathan Rhodes reported that Wolf was found with seven unopened cans of beer in her backpack.
Criminal mischief
COAL TOWNSHIP - Daniel Long, owner of Blue Ridge Mining, reported damage was done to two pieces of heavy equipment at the work site south of the village of Burnside sometime between 3 p.m. Thursday and 6:30 a.m. Monday.
Township police say that windows were smashed out on the equipment, with an estimated cost to repair the damages was listed at $2,000. Video surveillance cameras were in place during the time the damage was done, and after the video is reviewed, charges will be pending.
Disorderly conduct
SHAMOKIN - Patrolman Scott Weaver cited Dylan McNaughton, 29, of 350 S. Market St., for disorderly conduct after McNaughton was seen urinating in public in the area of Eighth and Independence streets at 1:35 a.m. Saturday.
Threat made
ASHLAND - Angela Boylan, 28, of 912 Walnut St. was cited for disorderly conduct after she allegedly threatened to kill Gary Geist during an incident at her residence at 10:25 a.m. June 26. Borough police chief Mark O'Hearn filed the citation with Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale, of Frackville.
Vandalism
COAL TOWNSHIP - Police report that sometime between Friday and Sunday, someone drove around the Vo-tech ball field, causing damage. Police said the investigation is continuing.
Harassment
SHAMOKIN - Patrolman Raymond Siko cited Janet Willis, 58, of 221 S. Diamond St. with harassment following an incident at her residence at 10:22 a.m. Sunday.
Police said that Willis allegedly shoved, struck in the face and pulled hair from the head of Theresa Dunkle, 40, of Shamokin.
Public drunkenness
SHAMOKIN - Melissa Fritchey, 36, of 17 E. Church St., Shamokin, was cited for public drunkenness after an incident at 2:16 a.m. Friday in the 400 block of North Shamokin Street, according to city police Patrolman Raymond Siko III
Disorderly conduct
SHAMOKIN - Fernando Vazquez, 31, of 232 S. First St., Coal Township, was cited for disorderly conduct after vomiting on a city street without cleaning it up at 1:45 a.m. Saturday on East Independence Street. The vomiting came due to alcohol, according to city police Patrolman Scott Weaver, who filed the citation.
Code violations
COAL TOWNSHIP - Township code enforcement officer Chris Petrovich has filed the following citations:
- James F. Gribbin Jr., and Bobbie Luddy, both of 1131 E. Webster St., cited July 1 for violating two township ordinances at their property at 1133 E. Webster St. They were cited for renting out the residence without an occupancy permit and failing to report the status of the occupancy within 10 days of a change.
- George Atiyeh, owner of Apartments and Acquisitions LP) 1102 Fullerton Avenue, Allentown, was cited July 2 for violating the township ordinance for high grass, brush and weeds at a property at 1234 Chemung St.
- Charles Clark, of 8841 Old Dumfries Road, Catlett, Va., was cited July 2 for violating the township ordinance for high grass, brush and weeds at a property at 1257 Trevorton Road, Coal Township.
