Drug charges

MOUNT CARMEL - Dana Marie Lally, 34, of 457 W. Main St., Girardville, and Michael Jessman, 31, of 155 Nice St., Frackville, were charged by Patrolman William Adamski with criminal conspiracy, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance involving an incident at 11:55 a.m. Tuesday in the first block of South Oak Street.

Jessman also was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Police found three syringes, several empty white glassine bags, one empty blue glassine heroin bag and crushed Oxycontin tablets in a vehicle operated by Jessman during a traffic stop.

Aggravated assault

COAL TOWNSHIP - Sean Beers, 26, of 138 Juniper Road, Paxinos, has been charged by Patrolman David Sage with a felony of aggravated assault and misdemeanors of simple assault, terroristic threats, possessing instruments of crime, recklessly endangering, two counts of endangering the welfare of children and criminal mischief involving a disturbance Wednesday evening at 1526 Pulaski Ave.

According to a criminal complaint, Beers went to the home of his former girlfriend, Crystal Hogan, shortly before 6 p.m. to see his children. While inside the home, Beers is accused of placing a knife against Hogan's left leg and making a threatening motion toward her. He also allegedly grabbed her by the left arm and placed his arm around her head that prevented her from breathing. He then allegedly threw Hogan to the floor twice.

The alleged assault occurred while Hogan was holding her 9-month-old daughter and her 2-year-old son was holding onto her leg, police said. They said Beers also threw Hogan's cell phone, valued at $700, causing damage.

Beers was arraigned by video at 10:30 a.m. Thursday by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III at the county jail, where he is being held on $10,000 cash bail.

Simple assault

SHAMOKIN - Jeffery Allen Wilson, 24, of 514 E. Commerce St., Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman Scott Weaver with simple assault and harassment relating to a disturbance at 3:20 p.m. Sunday at his residence.

Police said Wilson allegedly struck his wife, Kirsten, in the face and bounced her head and body off a wall.

He is free on $10,000 bail.

City disturbance

SHAMOKIN - Kristin Klinger, 23, of 815 E. Sunbury St., Shamokin; her live-in boyfriend, Glenn Alan Shurock Jr., 21, and Evelyn Yost, 42, of 1778 W. Chestnut St., Coal Township, were charged by Patrolman Raymond Siko II with harassment and disorderly conduct in connection with a May 15 disturbance at 815 E. Sunbury St.

Police said Klinger is accused striking Shurock in the head several times and shoving him on their front porch.

Shurock is charged with hitting Klinger in the face while she was holding her 1-year-old daughter.

Yost allegedly shoved Klinger while she was holding her child.

Police said the disturbance occurred at about 8:20 p.m.
