Fight, bite
COAL TOWNSHIP - Glen Shurock Jr., 21, of 815 E. Sunbury St., Shamokin, is accused of attempting to strike a 16-year-old male and biting the juvenile's shoulder in an incident at approximately 9:15 p.m. May 15 at 1778 W. Chestnut St. He is charged by Cpl. Joshua M. Wynn with simple assault and harassment.
Items stolen from cabin
FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP - Locust Township Police continue to investigate the theft of several guns and other items from a cabin in Franklin Township between May 12 and 15.
Police report that during that time period, someone entered a cabin in the area of the 100 block of Cabin Road and removed a Remington 760 game-master 30.06 pump rifle with a Nikon scope, a .22-caliber black synthetic stock semi-automatic rifle and a older 4-10 Mossberg bolt action.
The thieves also removed a number of items from outside the home, including a Poulan 18-inch chainsaw, two 20-gallon propane tanks and a 296-piece Stanley socket set.

Retail theft
COAL TOWNSHIP - Molly Bell, 22, of 655 Bear Valley Ave., Shamokin, is charged with summary retail theft for allegedly stealing several bags of food on May 4 from Irish Isle Provision Company Inc., 911 W. Arch St., where she was employed at the time.
Criminal mischief
MONROE TOWNSHIP - John Fillmore, 59, of Sunbury, was cited by state police at Selinsgrove for criminal mischief following an incident between 3:20 and 4:20 p.m. Monday in Lowe's parking lot.
Police say Fillmore allegedly pushed a metal shopping cart into the side of a parked vehicle and left the scene.
Crash
GOWEN CITY - A Coal Township man escaped injury when the vehicle he was driving left the roadway and struck a ditch Tuesday.
State police at Stonington said Michael L. Anderson, 49, was driving a 2010 Ford Focus west towards Route 125 about 7:30 a.m. when he lost control rounding a right curve, crossed the oncoming lane and left the roadway, driving into a ditch, over an embankment and into another ditch. The vehicle struck stones and a plastic culvert cap.
Anderson was wearing a seat belt. He was issued a traffic citation by Trooper James McCormick for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
Theft
DALMATIA - Donald Penrose Long, 80, of 146 Zerbe Road, reported a Pennsylvania registration plate was stolen from his antique vehicle between 1 p.m. and 10:22 p.m. in Lower Mahanoy Township.
Metal stolen
RANSHAW - David McGuinn, 54, of 206 Tulip Road, Paxinos, reported to Coal Township Police someone removed copper wiring, copper baseboard, an oil furnace, oil tank and steel piping from a former church building he owned at 10 N. Fifth St., Ranshaw, between November and May. The value of the items is $3,800.
Retail theft
MONROE TOWNSHIP - State police at Selinsgrove charged Sharon E. Reichner, 54, of Sunbury, with retail theft and receiving stolen property after allegedly removing an air conditioning unit from Walmart without paying at 6:35 p.m. May 14.
False alarms
MONROE TOWNSHIP - State police at Selinsgrove cited Dick's Sporting Goods, of 486 Market Place Blvd., Selinsgrove, for failing to control its alarm and automatic dialing devices after a false alarm was reported at the store at 3:30 a.m. May 16. It was the store's sixth false alarm in a one-year period.
