Criminal trespass

MOUNT CARMEL - James A. Dougherty, 41, of 136 S. Chestnut St., and Mark V. Crotty, 27, of 10 N. Orange St., were cited by Mount Carmel Borough Police Patrolman Matt Dillman for criminal trespass following an incident May 13.

Police were called to 335 W. Sixth St. for a report of someone entering a condemned structure. The building was recently condemned by the borough's code officer for unsanitary conditions.

After police arrived, Dougherty and Crotty were observed in the residence.

Trailer stolen

JACKSON TOWNSHIP - State police continue to investigate the theft of a refrigeration trailer from a business parking lot over the weekend.

Police report someone removed a 1999 Great Dane refrigeration trailer, owned by Antonio S. Giorgio, 47, of Lititz, from the private parking lot of A&L Diesel between 3 p.m. Saturday and 2:25 p.m. Monday.

Anyone with any information on the theft is asked to contact Trooper Daniel J. Wilk at the Stonington station at 570-286-5601.

Public drunkenness

MOUNT CARMEL - A 15-year-old Kulpmont male was cited for public drunkenness by Mount Carmel Borough Police Chief Todd Owens following a May 18 incident at Compass Academy, 30 W. Third St.

Police were called to the school for a student who appeared to be under the influence, due to his slurred speech and unsteady gait. The male admitted to police to smoking synthetic marijuana and ingesting Corcidin Cough and Cold, commonly known on the street as "Triple C's."

The citation was filed with Magisterial District Court Judge Hugh A. Hones.

Dog owner cited

MOUNT CARMEL - Borough police cited Peter J. Bridy, of 13 S. Walnut St., for violating the borough ordinance of dogs running at large following an incident at 5:30 p.m. Sunday on South Locust Street.

Police received a report of a dog entering a yard and ripping up trash. Officers observed the dog in a fenced-in yard with the trash scattered and determined the dog to be owned by Bridy.

Disorderly conduct

MOUNT CARMEL - Justin J. Klokis, 24, of 14 N. Walnut St., was cited for disorderly conduct by borough police following two incidents at his residence Saturday.

Police said they received a number of calls shortly before 10 p.m. about a loud party in the area. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with Klokis about the music and was advised to keep the volume down. Klokis agreed, but five minutes later, police returned to the home because the music even louder.
