Burglary at Rocco's

MONROE TOWNSHIP - State police at Selinsgrove are investigating a burglary at Rocco's Pizza, 8 Fisher Road, that occurred between midnight and 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said a burglar entered the rear of the business by throwing a horseshoe through a window. Once inside, the intruder removed all the quarters from a cash register and fled the building.

Retail theft

COAL TOWNSHIP - Ryan Chambers, 19, of Berwick, a 17-year-old Shamokin male, a 16-year-old Shamokin male and a 14-year-old Shamokin male have been charged by Patrolman Matthew Hashuga with retail theft and criminal conspiracy to commit retail theft.

Police said Chambers and the juveniles are accused of removing $903.03 in merchandise from Walmart Supercenter on Route 61 April 27.

Scattering rubbish

COAL TOWNSHIP - Kevin Stouffer, 25, of 104 N. Poplar St., Coal Township, will be cited by Coal Township police for scattering rubbish for allegedly dumping garbage on property owned by Shamokin Filler Company near Bear Valley Avenue and Fifth Street May 7 or May 8.

Indecent assault

LOWER MAHANOY TOWNSHIP - State police at Stonington are continuing their investigation into a May 8 incident on Line Mountain Road where a male juvenile allegedly grabbed a female juvenile and pushed her head into his clothed groin area.

Police said the incident occurred at 10:15 a.m.

Possesses knife

MANDATA - State police at Stonington reported charges are pending against a 12-year-old Herndon boy accused of possessing a multi-tool pocket knife at Line Mountain High School at 9 a.m. Tuesday and using the knife to damage a seat on a school bus owned by Marvin Klinger Inc., Dornsife.

An investigation is continuing.

Two-vehicle crash

COAL TOWNSHIP - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 8:14 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Woodlawn Avenue and Arch Street.

Police report a 2011 Toyota minivan, driven by Tina Streck, 56, of 1633 W. Lynn St., was traveling north on Woodlawn Avenue when she attempted to drive around a school bus coming south and struck a 1993 Toyota sedan, owned by Annmarie Henninger, 59, of 1668 W. Lynn St., which was parked along the northbound curb of the roadway.

Streck's vehicle sustained moderate damage and had to be towed from the scene while Henninger's vehicle sustained minor damage to the driver's side rear tail light and bumper area. Police said the accident is under investigation.
