UPPER AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP - State police at Stonington reported a white and brindle male pit bull was found roaming near Cold Run Hollow and Mile Hill roads Thursday and transported to Sunbury Animal Hospital along Route 890 in Rockefeller Township.

DANVILLE - Jyl M. Pekera, 28, of Mount Carmel, who suffered injuries Monday morning when a car she was driving along Snydertown Road struck a mailbox, embankment and guard rail, was listed in serious condition Tuesday at Geisinger Medical Center, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
Domestic assault
MOUNT CARMEL - William Dutter, 47, of 433 E. Seventh St., Mount Carmel, was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III at 1 a.m. Sunday on two counts of simple assault and one count of harassment and resisting arrest involving a disturbance at his residence Friday night.
Police said Dutter is accused of punching his wife, Selena Dutter, in the face at 9 p.m.
Dutter was committed to Northumberland County Prison in Sunbury in lieu of $10,000 bail.
DUI
SHAMOKIN - Gary Lee Wertman, 57, of 221 Chamber St., Danville, was charged by Patrolman Raymond Siko II with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, two counts of driving under the influence of drugs, one count of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol and failing to activate his headlights relating to an April 25 incident at Market and Spruce streets.
Police said Wertman had a blood-alcohol content of .179 percent and also had drugs in his blood system.
DUI
SHAMOKIN - Patrolman Raymond Siko II has charged Richard Dunkelberger, 23, of 1538 Tioga St., Coal Township, with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of failure to drive in a single lane, careless driving, a lighting violation and restriction of alcoholic beverages.
The charges relate to an April 27 traffic stop on Mount Carmel Street.
Police said Dunkelberger had a blood-alcohol content of .241 percent.
DUI
STONINGTON - Adam J. Bush, 25, of 472 Holly Road, Paxinos, was charged by Trooper Todd Leiby of state police at Stonington with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count each of failure to drive in a single lane and careless driving involving an April 5 accident on Route 61 near Holly Road in Stonington.
Police said Bush had a blood-alcohol content of .103 percent.
