UPPER AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP - A motorcyclist who suffered serious injuries Saturday afternoon in a three-vehicle accident along Route 890 remained in critical condition Monday evening, according to a hospital spokesperson.
Patricia L. Brandt, 32, of Montandon, was operating a 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle south on Route 890 near Grant Street when Donald P. Vought, 52, of Sunbury, drove a 2005 Ford 500 into the path of the motorcycle, resulting in a minor collision, according to state police at Stonington.
After impact, police said Brandt reportedly lost control of her motorcycle and struck a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven behind Vought's car by John W. Reeder III, 49, of Sunbury.
Brandt suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Vought, Reeder and two passengers in Reeder's vehicle, Janice L. Reeder, 55, of Sunbury, and a 4-year-old boy escaped injury.
An investigation is continuing.
Harassment
SHAMOKIN - Matthew Dilliplane, 26, of 35 S. Fifth St., was cited with harassment following an incident outside his residence at 5 p.m. Friday. Police said Dilliplane allegedly punched Brent Bartholomew, 23, of 932 W. Coal St., Trevorton, in the face. The citation was filed by Shamokin City Police Patrolman First Class Scott Weaver.
Dog violation
SHAMOKIN - Carl Straub, 28, of 502 N. Coal St., was cited by Shamokin City Police Patrolman First Class Scott Weaver for violating the city's dog ordinance Sunday for having at his residence a dog that disturbed the peace and good order of the city.
Code violation
COAL TOWNSHIP - Gail A. Ossman, of 123 Mahantongo Mountain Road, Klingerstown, was cited by township code enforcement officer Chris Petrovich for violating the township's ordinance for keeping animals at a property at 1332 W. Walnut St. According to the ordinance, no person may keep or maintain any animal in an unsanitary, unsafe or offensive condition.
City nuisance
SHAMOKIN - Katy Ann Dunaway, 31 of 1688 Fairview Rd., McClure, was cited Monday by Shamokin City Police Cpl. Bryan Primerano for violating the city's public nuisance ordinance for allowing a building she owns at 102 S. Pearl St., to fall into disrepair.
Gun theft
SUNBURY - Roberta A. Kurrell, 76, of Little Mountain Road, Lower Augusta Township, reported someone stole a muzzle loader from her home between April 1 and Sunday, according to state police at Stonington. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 570-286-5601.
Batteries stolen
SUNBURY - Doris Holt, 74, of Shamokin, and Lisa Laforme, 53, of Trevorton, reported batteries were stolen from their campers/motor homes stored since Oct. 11 at Brumbach's Auction, Lower Augusta Township, according to state police at Stonington. DALMATIA - Roy Maurer, 56, reported scrap metal was stolen between 10 and 11 a.m. Sunday from his property along Malta Road in Lower Mahanoy Township, according to state police at Stonington. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 570-286-5601.
