Hit and run

COAL TOWNSHIP - Police are currently investigating a hit and run crash that occured along Route 125 just south of Burnside at 10:46 a.m. Saturday.

According to officers, a vehicle traveling south on Route 125 crossed the roadway and struck a Verizon utility pole and several pieces of a wooden fence owned by George Jones, of Burnside. After the accident, the vehicle left the scene but a green plastic bumper from a Ford vehicle was left behind.

Fuel stolen

JACKSON TOWNSHIP - Scott Billow, 54, of Dalmatia, reported to state police at Stonington that at 9 p.m. Sunday, someone removed 30 gallons of diesel fuel from his gas tank while his vehicle was parked at A&L Diesel, of Jackson Township.

Curfew violation

SHAMOKIN - A 14-year-old Shamokin girl and a 15-year-old female, no address given, were cited by city police Patrolman First Class Scott Weaver with violating Shamokin's curfew ordinance after being found out in the 100 block of South Market Street at 11:47 p.m. Saturday.
