Dog violations
MOUNT CARMEL - A borough man was cited twice for violating the borough dog law.
Police said a dog owned by James E. Doak, 45, of 31 N. Locust St., was running at large Dec. 12 and attempted to bite a resident walking his own dog on North Quince Street.
On Jan. 1, Doak's dog allegedly jumped a fence and attacked and injured a dog being walked on a leash.
The citations were filed with Magisterial District Judge Hugh A. Jones, of Mount Carmel.
Disorderly conduct
SHAMOKIN - Glenn A. Heim Jr., 36, of 29 N. Second St., was cited by Shamokin City Police Patrolman Raymond Siko II for causing a disturbance at the Central Susquehanna Opportunities (CSO) office, 2 E. Arch St., at 4:20 p.m. Thursday.
Police said Heim was screaming, banging a desk and yelling in a threatening manner inside the office.
Public drunkenness
MOUNT CARMEL - Heather Labella, of 143 S. Locust St., was cited for public drunkenness by borough police officer Matthew Dillman following an incident at 1:23 a.m. Jan. 12 in the 200 block of South Banana Street.
Dillman said police were dispatched to a home because an unknown person attempting to gain entry. Police determined Labella was not at the correct address and smelled of alcohol. She was cited and released to a family member.
Building issues
SHAMOKIN - Brian K. Seebold, 51, of 813 N. Washington St., was cited twice Jan. 16 for violating city ordinances concerning a property he owns at 506 N. Second St.
Cpl. Darwin Tobias III said Seebold was cited for a nuisance ordinance violation because the building is damaged and building material falls onto the sidewalk. He was also cited for violating city's sanitary conditions ordinance by allowing garbage and other refuse and debris to be dumped in the yard.
QOL citations
MOUNT CARMEL - The following individuals were cited by Mount Carmel Borough Code Enforcement Officer Robin Williams for failure to pay their quality of life ordinance tickets:
- Andrew Reigel, of 328 W. Sixth St., was cited Nov. 20, Dec. 2 and Jan. 6 for garbage accumulated at the rear of his property.
- Jennifer Benner, of 225 W. Fifth St., was cited Nov. 5 for having an illegally parked or inoperable vehicle on her property.
- Kim Wylie, of 219 N. Park St., was cited Nov. 13 for having garbage at the front and rear of her property.
- Linda Kay Nufus, of 17 W. Avenue, was cited Nov. 15 for having garbage at the rear of her property.
- Lisa Whispell, of 446 W. Second St., was cited Dec. 2 for having garbage at the rear of her property.
All citations were filed with Magisterial District Judge Hugh A. Jones, of Mount Carmel.
Driver not injured
SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP - A Paxinos driver was not injured Wednesday morning when the vehicle she was driving hit a tree on Irish Valley Road, approximately 1 mile east of Hollow Road, according to state police at Stonington.
Trooper Marc Yemzow said Brook N. Ejuit, 18, was driving a 2008 Ford Escape at 7:55 a.m. when she lost control while negotiating a lefthand curve, exited the north berm and hit a tree.
She was wearing a seatbelt, police said.
She will be cited with a traffic violation, police said.
Her vehicle was towed by Tire Ranch, of Elysburg.
