Motorcycle crash
DELEWARE TOWNSHIP - An Elysburg motorcyclist remains in critical condition at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, after crashing his 2001 Suzuki Intruder at 8:24 p.m. Saturday, according to a hospital nursing supervisor.
Trooper J.T. Reichenbach of the Milton State Police barracks said Jon F. Hower, 59, lost control of his motorcycle when he was traveling eastbound on I-80 at mile marker eight and drove into the center median.
Hower then struck a guard rail, subsequently throwing the man from the motorcycle onto the shoulder of the interstate highway, police said.
Hower, who was alert and conscious on scene, was transported to the hospital via Life Flight for treatment, police said.
State police were assisted on the scene by Muncy Fire Company and EMS, Warrior Run EMS, Life Flight personnel and Taylor's Garage, Milton.
The crash remains under investigation.
