Retail theft
SHAMOKIN - Laura L. Moll, 35, of 127 Birch St., Shamokin, was cited by Cpl. Darwin Tobias III for retail theft for attempting to steal three items valued at $15.50 from the Dollar General on East Independence Street at 5:18 p.m. Thursday.
Disorderly conduct
SHAMOKIN - James Mowery, 23, of 251 S. Vine St., Shamokin, was cited by Patrolman Raymond Siko II for two counts of disorderly conduct and one count of public drunkenness relating to a disturbance at 2:10 a.m. Saturday outside his home.
Police said Mowery threatened to assault another male and urinated in the middle of the street.
Truck stolen
COAL TOWNSHIP - Police are currently investigating the theft of a 1982 Chevrolet C30 dump truck taken sometime between 7 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday from a garage on First and Chestnut streets.
The truck has a black cab with a gray dump/bed, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact Coal Township Police at 644-0333.
Abandoned vehicles
SHAMOKIN - Susan M. Simpson, of 218 S. Shamokin St., Shamokin, and Arthur Preston Rodriguez, of 1250 W. Pine St., Coal Township, were cited by Cpl. Bryan Primerano for violating an abandoned vehicle ordinance.
Police said Simpson's vehicle was parked near her home July 17 and had an expired inspection sticker. Rodriguez' vehicle was parked in the 200 block of East Sunbury Street the same day and had an expired inspection sticker.
Burglary
COAL TOWNSHIP - Police said someone removed several items - including a generator, an air compressor, fishing gear and power tools - from a garage on Holly Street between 6 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.

Waives case
MOUNT CARMEL - Rafael L. Meeks, 36, an inmate at Chester County Prison who formerly resided in Atlas, waived to court July 31 three counts of possession with intent to deliver heroin and two counts each of delivery of heroin and possession of heroin relating to incidents that occurred June 14 and 15, 2010, in Mount Carmel Township.
The charges were filed Mount Carmel Township Patrolman David Stamets, a member of the Northumberland-Montour Drug Task Force.
Meeks was ordered by Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones to appear for plea court Sept. 23 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury, where he can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
Drug paraphernalia
MOUNT CARMEL - Cpl. David Donkochik has filed a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia against Larissa J. Voeckler, 26, of 127 N. Chestnut St., Mount Carmel, in connection with a July 8 incident in the 200 block of East Sixth Street.
Police said Voeckler was found in possession of a syringe.
DUI
MOUNT CARMEL TOWNSHIP - James M. Mennig, 34, of Pottsville, was charged by Patrolman Daniel Politza with driving under the influence of alcohol, careless driving and following a vehicle too closely relating to a June 30 incident on Route 901 near Locust Summit.
Police detected a strong odor of alcohol on Mennig's breath and said the defendant refused to submit to a blood test.
Open lewdness
MOUNT CARMEL - Charges of open lewdness, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness were filed by Patrolman Matthew Dillman against Kimberlee C. Overgaard, 20, of 338 S. Currant St., Mount Carmel, after she was observed walking naked around her neighborhood during the late evening hours of July 13.
Bad check
PORT TREVORTON - State police at Selinsgrove said Richard W. Ray, 55, of Selinsgrove, has been charged with issuing a bad check totaling $90.41 to Hilsher's General Store on Nov. 15.
DUI
MOREA - Edward Clark, 65, of Ashland, was charged with driving under the influence by state police at Frackville following a traffic stop at 9 p.m. Sunday on State Route 1008 in this Schuylkill County village. The charges were filed with Magisterial District Judge Anthony J. Kilker, of Shenandoah.
AC stolen
SUNBURY - Crystal Ann Wolfe, 52, of Sunbury, told state police at Stonington someone removed an air conditioning unit from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked on Pontius Avenue, Packers Island, Upper Augusta Township, between 7 a.m. July 27 and 11 a.m. July 29.
