MOUNT CARMEL - The following hearings took place Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones. Defendants ordered to appear for plea court Aug. 19 in Northumberland County Court, Sunbury, can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
n Barry Thomas Adams, 30, of 111 N. Market St., Mount Carmel, waived two felony counts each of access device fraud, identity theft and theft, along with one first-degree and two third-degree misdemeanor counts of access device fraud and one misdemeanor count each of identify theft and theft.
Charges were filed by Mount Carmel Patrolman Matthew Dillman.
Bail remains at $20,000 cash. He was returned to Northumberland County Prison, Sunbury, where he is being held on unrelated charges.
Adams is accused of using the personal information of David Urbanowicz to open three cell phone accounts in January 2013 from AT&T, Verizon and Sprint and accumulating bills totaling $1,906.61.
n Jericho Scott Linkchorst, 20, of 415 E. Avenue, Mount Carmel, waived charges of theft, receiving stolen property and loitering or prowling at night.
Charges were filed by Mount Carmel Patrolman Jason Drumheller.
Bail remains at $15,000 cash. He was returned to Northumberland County Prison.
Linkchorst is accused of stealing garbage money from borough residences between May 22 to 30.
n Charges of endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault and harassment were dismissed against Wilburn H. Denman, 45, of 28 Bower St., Montgomery, after the alleged victim refused to testify.
Denman was accused by Robin Brown of shoving her against a stove while she was holding an infant child at 6 p.m. July 9 inside 45 N. Maple St., Mount Carmel, causing a bruise on her right arm. He had denied any wrongdoing to police, and had been held in Northumberland County Prison since his arrest.
Charges were filed by Mount Carmel Patrolman Kevin Katch.
