Possession
COAL TOWNSHIP - Jessica Hoover, 31, of 721 E. Sunbury St., Shamokin, is charged by township police with possession of drug paraphernalia related to a Jan. 1 incident in which she allegedly left a purse at the home of Melissa Brokenshire, 41, of 515 S. Ash St., containing unspecified paraphernalia.
Retail theft
HUMMELS WHARF - Megan Thomas, 25, of Shamokin, is charged by state police at Stonington with retail theft for allegedly stealing clothing from the Strawberry Store in the Susquehanna Valley Mall at 6:45 p.m. May 18.
Ordinance violation
SHAMOKIN - William Miller, of 433 W. Pine St., Shamokin, was cited at 9 a.m. Monday by Code Enforcement Officer Rick Bozza for allowing trash and debris to accumulate all over his yard and grass to grow two feet high.
Miller also was cited by Bozza for allowing piles of household trash to accumulate in a common walkway.
Bozza said Miller was warned several times about the ordinance violations involving trash.
Public drunkenness
SHAMOKIN - Cpl. Bryan Primerano cited Thomas Weigold, 49, of 110 S. Diamond St., Shamokin, for public drunkenness after Weigold was found unresponsive in the woods near the Patsy steps on South Rock Street at 6:40 p.m. Friday.
Weigold was transported to Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital.
Disorderly conduct
SHAMOKIN - Samantha M. Fryberger, 21, of 203 E. Dewart St., Shamokin, was cited by Cpl. Bryan Primerano for disorderly conduct for allegedly screaming shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of East Sunbury Street.
