MOUNT CARMEL - The following hearings took place May 1 before Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones. Defendants ordered to appear for plea court May 20 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury, can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
n Jennifer Lynn Wunder, 33, of 120 S. Poplar St., Mount Carmel, waived to court charges of two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a small amount of marijuana and driving the wrong way on a one-way street.
The charges were filed in connection with a March 9 vehicle stop in the first block of North Oak Street.
Police reported Wunder had a blood-alcohol content of .154 percent.
Bail was set at $5,000.
n Cory Daniel Hine, 21, of 2103 Airport Road, Elysburg, waived to court charges of possession of drug paraphernalia relating to a Feb. 15 incident at Helfrick's Grove along Quarry Road.
Police said Hine possessed two mechanic sockets containing burnt marijuana residue.
Bail was set at $5,000.
n Cheryl L. Twiggs, 49, of 250 S. Poplar St., Apt. 4A, Mount Carmel, waived to court charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, careless driving and driving at an unsafe speed.
The charges were filed in connection to a Feb. 8 two-vehicle accident in the 800 block of West Fifth Street that injured pedestrian Gerard Koveleskie, of Mount Carmel.
Police reported Twiggs had a blood-alcohol content of .145 percent and also was driving under the influence of Cotinine, Nicotine, Theobromine, Delta-9 Carboxy THC, Oxycodone and Paroxetine.
Bail, which was set at $15,000, was posted, according to court documents.
n Robert W. Buettner Jr., 22, of 6 Polk Lane, Elysburg, waived to court charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, a lighting violation and driving without a license involving a May 21, 2012, pursuit that started in the 900 block of Chestnut Street.
Police said Buettner was found with marijuana, cocaine, benzoylecgonine and morphine in his blood system.
Bail was set at $5,000.
