Injured in crash
UPPER AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP - A driver involved in a two-vehicle accident on Route 147 was transported to Geisinger Medical Center Thursday afternoon, according to state police at Stonington.
Trooper Todd Leiby reported that Marlene M. Mull, 72, of Northumberland, was traveling south on Bridge Avenue in a 2012 Kia Sedona behind Amy J. Klick, 46, of Northumberland, who was driving a 2005 Mercury Monterey, when Mull rear ended Klick at approximately 5 p.m.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts, but Mull was transported to Geisinger Medical Center via Americus Ambulance, Sunbury, police said.
Mull was charged with a traffic violation, police said.
Fleeing, eluding
TREVORTON - Kaddafi Loatman, 26, of East Sunbury Street, Shamokin, is charged by state police at Stonington with felony fleeing and eluding after he allegedly led police on a high-speed chase April 14.
Trooper Todd Leiby said Loatman was driving a Dodge Neon when police attempted a routine vehicle stop for a unspecified minor traffic offense at 5:10 p.m. near Route 2044 and West Coal Street. He said Loatman drove from police at high speeds and was apprehended in a stripping area between Trevorton and Shamokin.
Loatman was jailed on outstanding warrants. He faces 20 charges total, including the fleeing charge as well as reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, accidents involving damage to attended vehicle or property and multiple traffic offenses.
