Boat motors stolen
ROCKEFELLER TOWNSHIP - Richard V. Zurick, 36, of 1956 State Route 61, Sunbury, told state police at Stonington someone removed three boat motors from a carport at 810 Carroll Road between noon Jan. 27 and 7 p.m. Feb. 18.
The motors taken are an Evenrude 4/4, a 12-pound Stow and Go, and a Shakespeare Electric Trolling Motor. Anyone with information on the theft is asked to contact police at 286-5601.
PFA violation
KULPMONT - Matthew S. Haydt, 25, of 126 Third St., Strong, has been charged by Patrolman Michael Pitcavage with violating a protection from abuse order.
According to a criminal complaint, Haydt is accused of causing two disturbances at the residence of Heather Hudson, 917 Chestnut St., Apt. C, Kulpmont, between 5:46 and 6:44 p.m. Sunday.
Haydt was arraigned on the charge Sunday night by on-call Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III and committed to Northumberland County Prison in Sunbury in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
Bad check
SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP - Darvin L. Bohner, 58, of Gratz, was charged by Trooper David Myers of state police at Stonington with issuing a bad check in the amount $967.78 to Bed Barn Furniture Store along Route 61 May 15.
Citations filed
COAL TOWNSHIP - An 18-year-old Mount Carmel man faces two citations following an accident Monday on Route 901 in front of the Sunoco station in Ranshaw.
Justin Hine will be cited by Coal Township Patrolman Joshua Wynn for a stop-sign violation and for driving with a suspended license.
He was driving a 2000 Buick LeSabre when he pulled onto the highway from a stop sign on Rock Cut Road and struck a westbound 2002 Ford Explorer on its driver side.
Both Hine and the Explorer's driver, Glenn Heim, of Trevorton, were taken by ambulance to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, for treatment.
Crash
MANDATA - Two Lykens residents were injured Monday in a rollover accident on Route 225 about one mile south of Line Mountain Junior/Senior High School.
According to Trooper David Myers of state police at Stonington, Billie J. Stoneroad, 32, was driving a 1992 Chevrolet Blazer north near Hepner Road at 9:46 a.m. when she lost control of the vehicle, which rolled several times before coming to rest on all four wheels in a field.
Stoneroad suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Americus Ambulance to Sunbury Community Hospital. Her passenger, Steve C. Stoneroad, 33, suffered minor injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.
Billie J. Stoneroad will be cited for a speeding violation.
