Underage drinking

SHAMOKIN - City police have charged Dylan Sessions, 19, of 332 S. Seventh St., Shamokin, and Autum Nowroski, 18, of 24 E. Willow St., Shamokin, with underage drinking and disorderly conduct relating to a disturbance late Friday night outside Nowroski's residence in which they allegedly shouted obscenities and consumed alcohol.

The charges were filed by Cpl. Bryan Primerano and Patrolman Shane Mowery.

Drug paraphernalia

SHAMOKIN - Brian Heffner, 32, of 158 Water St., Dalmatia, was charged by Cpl. Bryan Primerano with possession of drug paraphernalia involving an incident Saturday night in the 600 block of Cleaver Street.

Disorderly conduct

SHAMOKIN - Timothy L. Burkholder, 25, of 35 N. Rock St., Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman Nathan Rhodes with two counts of disorderly conduct involving a disturbance early Saturday morning at his residence.

According to a criminal complaint, police were called to Burkholder's residence three times for noise complaints involving loud music. Police said Burkholder also used obscene language toward Rhodes.

DUI

SHAMOKIN - John E. Persing, 38, of 22 N. Market St., Apt. 1, Shamokin, was charged by Cpl. Darwin Tobias III with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of Alprazolam, driving under the influence of a drug or combination of drugs and careless driving involving a Nov. 25 incident in the first block of North Coal Street in which Persing's vehicle mounted a curb and almost struck a fire hydrant.

Police reported Persing had a blood-alcohol content of .231 percent and had Alprazolam in his blood system.

Multiple offenses

SHAMOKIN - Trooper Brian Ronk of state police at Stonington has filed charges of false identification to police, driving under suspension, driving without a license and failure to carry or exhibit a driver's license on demand against Ashlee E. White, 26, of 181 Main St., Apt. 2, Paxinos.

The charges relate to an incident Thursday night at Third and Walnut streets in Shamokin.

Theft charges

COAL TOWNSHIP - Zachary R. Lahr, 27, of 828 Center St., Tharptown, was charged by Detective Jeff Brennan with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and theft from a motor vehicle relating to the theft of a tool box containing various tools, and a CD player having a total estimated value of $1,500.

Police said the items were stolen from a vehicle owned by James Conbeer Jr. in the 900 block of West Juniper Street on Aug. 14.

Ryan J. Thomas, 25, of 1213 W. Walnut St., Coal Township, was previously charged by Brennan with the same offenses in connection with the theft.
