Cast iron stolen

SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP - State police at Stonington reported thieves removed a cast-iron, claw-foot bathtub and four cast-iron heating radiators from the rear porch at a vacant house along Mulberry Road between Dec. 15 and Saturday.

Police said thieves also stole 10 more radiators, another claw-foot tub, a cast-iron kitchen sink with drain boards and a cast-iron bathroom sink with pedestal from an unlocked barn on the property.

The stolen items, which are owned by Kevin Apollo, 46, of Pottstown, are valued at $1,175.

ATV theft

RANSHAW - Robert Knowles, 46, of 504 Water St., Ranshaw, told Coal Township police someone removed his red, 2003 Yamaha Grizzly 660cc four-wheel all-terrain vehicle from his garage during the past week.

The ATV is valued at $3,500.

Hit and run

COAL TOWNSHIP - Police here are investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred in the 1600 block of Mohawk Street between 1:55 a.m. and noon Saturday.

Police said a gray 2000 Pontiac Grand Am was damaged in the accident.
