Wedding band found
ELYSBURG - A men's wedding band was found in the parking lot of the Ralpho Township gymnasium and was given to police. The owner may contact Ralpho Township Police at 672-9892 to describe and claim it.
4-car crash
HALIFAX TOWNSHIP - A Shamokin man and three other drivers were not injured in a four-vehicle accident on Peters Mountain Road in this Dauphin County township Thursday morning, according to state police at Lykens.
Trooper David Yearick said Joshua Lenker, 26, of Shamokin, driving a 2007 Toyota Tacoma; Sheri A. Shaffer, 46, of Lemoyne, driving a 2002 Acura RSX, and Laura J. Elder, 66, of Elizabethville, driving a 2010 Jeep Compass, were stopped in the southbound lane of Route 147/225 near Highland Tire and Sheetz at 7:46 a.m. Dec. 13.
Kyle T. Smithgall, 21, of Duncannon, failed to stop his 2002 Chevrolet S10 and collided with the rear of Lenker's vehicle, pushing it into Shaffer's vehicle, which pushed into Elder's vehicle, police said.
No injuries were reported and all drivers were wearing their seat belts, police said.
Smithgall's and Shaffer's vehicles were removed from the scene by S and S Towing and Kinder's Towing respectively, police said.
Charges are pending against Smithgall for suspicion of driving under the influence, police said.
