Assault

MOUNT CARMEL TOWNSHIP - A Mount Carmel woman was arraigned Wednesday on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, false imprisonment, false reports to law enforcement authorities and harassment relating to a fight between her and another woman Nov. 1, according to Mount Carmel Township Police.

Patrolman David Stamets reported that Jill Marie Fisher, 33, of 477 W. Saylor St., Atlas, allegedly attacked Heather Frank near the Atlas Fire Company at 4:55 p.m.

Fisher also allegedly accused Frank of stealing merchandise from Walmart, police said.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 12 in front of Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, Mount Carmel.

False reports

RALPHO TOWNSHIP - A Shamokin woman was arraigned Wednesday on charges of false alarm, false reports to law enforcement agencies and fictitious reports relating to an incident on Nov. 16 at 1134 W. Valley Ave., according to Ralpho Township Police.

Patrolman Chris Dailey reported that Heather Ann Scott, 35, of 801 E. Dewart St., Shamokin, allegedly called 911 to report that her boyfriend, Joe Kuczynski, had stolen her car.

When Dailey arrived, he said Scott was visibly intoxicated and difficult to understand.

During the interview, Kuczynski returned and told police that Scott had given him the keys and permission to take the car.

Scott then changed her story and said she thought he should have been back by now, police said.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 12 in front of Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, Mount Carmel.

Endangerment

MOUNT CARMEL - A Mount Carmel man was arraigned Wednesday on charges of endangering the welfare of a child in relation to a Nov. 16 incident in the borough, according to Mount Carmel Borough Police.

Patrolman David Donkochik said Peter Joicham Amarose, 29, of 233 S. Poplar St., is accused of leaving his girlfriend's children, a 1-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy, home alone while he went to the Dollar General Store.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 12 in front of Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, Mount Carmel.

Drugs

MOUNT CARMEL - A Mount Carmel man was arraigned Wednesday on charges of delivering heroin, three counts of criminal conspiracy, three counts of possession, criminal use of communication facility and driving while suspended in relation to a Jan. 21 drug bust involving a confidential informant, according to the Mount Carmel Police Department.

Patrolmen Matthew Dillman and Shane Reamer, who are also on the Northumberland-Montour Drug Task Force, reported that James M. Ball, 43, with a last known address of 233 S. Oak St., Mount Carmel, sold several bags of heroin to a confidential informant.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 15 in front of Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, Mount Carmel.
