State police at Frackville reported Mason was driving a white 2009 Chevrolet Malibu east at 4:15 a.m. when she failed to negotiate a left curve in the road, causing her vehicle to exit the south shoulder and strike a tree with its front passenger side. The auto then went back onto the road, where it rolled onto its roof before coming to rest and blocking both lanes.

The auto sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene.

Mason and Stevenosky were transported by ambulance to Schuylkill Medical Center South in Pottsville.

Police said Mason was suspected of driving under the influence and submitted to a blood-alcohol test. Police said charges are pending upon results of the blood-alcohol test.
