Underage drinking
MOUNT CARMEL - Raymond F. Wywadis III, 20 of 106 N. Beech St., Mount Carmel, was cited by borough police Officer Jason Drumheller for underage drinking following an incident in the 500 block of West Third Street at 2:49 a.m. Nov. 17.
Police were conducting a follow-up investigation on an unrelated call when they observed three males on the sidewalk in the 500 block of West Third Street. At that time, police spoke to Wywadis, who allegedly possessed a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and displayed other signs of intoxication.
The citation was filed through Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, of Mount Carmel.
Criminal mischief
KELLY TOWNSHIP - Rey Delgado-Rios, 22, of Milton, has been cited by state police at Milton for criminal mischief for allegedly using a hammer to strike the windshield and front driver's side window on a 1998 Ford Windstar owned by Miguel Pagan, 66, of Sunbury, causing approximately $400 damage.
Police said the vandalism occurred at 6:20 p.m. Monday in the parking lot at Walmart on AJK Boulevard in this Union County township.
Harassment
MOUNT CARMEL - Borough police Officer Jason Drumheller cited Amber N. Eisenhard, 19, of Shamokin, for harassment after allegedly harassing another individual via cell phone calls and text messages at 2:20 p.m. Oct. 19, despite being warned by police to cease contact. The citation was filed with Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, of Mount Carmel.
Retail theft
MOUNT CARMEL - Two male juveniles, a 14-year-old from Mount Carmel and a 16-year-old from Lykens, were cited for retail theft following an incident at 3:23 p.m. Nov. 2 at the Dollar General Store on South Market Street.
Borough police Officer Matt Dillman cited the two after the 14-year-old stole a pair of gloves, valued at $3.18, and then later gave them to the 16-year-old outside the store.
Harassment
MOUNT CARMEL - Colette Harris, 51, of 315 Main St., Aristes, was cited by borough police Officer Shane Reamer with harassment and disorderly conduct after allegedly shouting obscene language and making lewd comments toward Jennifer Dalpiaz, of Mount Carmel, while Dalpiaz walked on the 100 block of South Oak Street at 6:20 p.m. Oct. 31.
Ordinance violation
MOUNT CARMEL - Thomas F. Escro, 29, of 908 Eynon St., Scranton, was cited by Borough Police Officer Jason Drumheller for selling various meats door-to-door without a borough permit at approximately 5:02 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11. The citation was filed with Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, of Mount Carmel.
