Hit and run

COAL TOWNSHIP - William McLaughlin Jr., 43, of 1103 E. Race St., Coal Township, reported his 1998 Dodge Durango was damaged on its driver's side during a hit-and-run accident between 6:30 p.m. Monday and 1 p.m. Tuesday in front of his home.

Checkpoint results

MILTON - Approximately 145 vehicles were stopped and two drivers were arrested for DUI during a sobriety checkpoint Friday night and Saturday morning on Route 45 in West Chillisquaque Township.

State police at Milton, Selinsgrove and Stonington conducted the checkpoint.

Four drivers were found drinking alcoholic beverages prior to driving and eight were cited for summary violations. Four drivers received written warning notices for various violations.

Furnishes alcohol

KLINGERSTOWN - The Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement has cited the Klingerstown Hotel for selling or furnishing alcohol to a 19-year-old June 26.

The charge will be brought before an administrative law judge, who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. The judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge.

Public drunkenness

SHAMOKIN - Frederick J. Hartman III, 33, of 35 S. Sherman St., Coal Township, was cited by Patrolman Raymond Siko II for public drunkenness after he walked into a building at 6:13 p.m. Saturday at Shamokin and Independence streets, causing him to suffer a forehead laceration.

Skateboard damages car

SHAMOKIN - A 14-year-old Shamokin boy was cited for criminal mischief for intentionally striking a car owned by Nicholas Rossi, of Atlas, with his skateboard, causing approximately $200 damage.

Police said the incident occurred at 1 p.m. July 20 in the 100 block of North Rock Street near the Lawton Shroyer Memorial Swimming Pool.

DUI

LOCUST GAP - David A. Sadusky, 34, of 502 McKnight St., Gordon, was charged by Patrolman David Stamets Jr. with driving under the influence of a combination of drugs, possessing an adulterated or misbranded controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance, possessing drug paraphernalia and failing to wear a seat belt.

The charges relate to an Aug. 11 incident at Main and Third streets in Locust Gap in which police found Sadusky to be under the influence of Ritalin, Suboxone and Percocet.

Sadusky was arraigned by video Tuesday by Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones and committed to Northumberland County Prison in Sunbury in lieu of $5,000 bail. He was released from prison Wednesday on unsecured bail.

Retail theft

KULPMONT - Jeffery S. Gable, 29, of 640 Chestnut St., Apt. 5, Kulpmont, was cited by Patrolman Patrick J. McAndrew for retail theft for stealing a pack of Eagle cigarettes valued at $4.16 from Fuel On Gas Station at 600 Chestnut St.

Retail theft

COAL TOWNSHIP - Michael Valentin, 32, of Shenandoah, was charged by Patrolman Matthew Hashuga with retail theft for under-ringing approximately $1,000 at a self-checkout in June and July at Wal-Mart Supercenter.

Steals merchandise

COAL TOWNSHIP - Angela M. Barbush, 46, of Mount Carmel, was cited by Patrolman Matthew Hashuga for retail theft for stealing $29.77 in merchandise Feb. 28 and $8.93 worth of items July 25 from Wal-Mart Supercenter.

Disorderly conduct

RANSHAW - Scott Bingaman, 19, of 507 Main St., Ranshaw, was charged by Patrolman Edward Purcell with three counts of disorderly conduct relating to a disturbance at the RCA playground at about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said Bingaman was trying to start a fight with four male juveniles on the soccer field and was screaming obscenities at them. Police said Bingaman was swinging a six-foot piece of a fiberglass ladder around in the playground toward the juveniles.

He was transported to a holding cell at Northumberland County Prison in Sunbury before being arraigned by video Thursday morning by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III. Bingaman was released on $2,500 bail.

Simple assault

COAL TOWNSHIP - Charges of simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment were filed by Patrolman Joshua Wynn against Kip Dorkoski, 50, of 911 W. Pine St., Coal Township, relating to a disturbance at his residence at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said Dorkoski is accused of punching his sister-in-law, Robin Dorkoski, in the face and shoving her, causing injury. The victim told police Dorkoski also threatened to kill her.

Dorkoski was taken into custody and placed in a holding cell at Northumberland County Prison in Sunbury before being arraigned Thursday morning by Magisterial District Judge Benjamin Apfelbaum, who released him on $5,000 bail.

Criminal mischief

SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP - Tiffany Lynn Bills, 29, of 296 State Route 2026, Coal Township, told state police at Stonington that the windshield on her vehicle was damaged by a blunt object while parked in a lot behind Masser's Chicken Shack between 12:30 and 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Identity theft

ROCKEFELLER TOWNSHIP - Judy Mowery, 64, of 651 Seven Points Road, Sunbury, informed state police at Stonington that someone attempted to use her personal information to open a credit card account Aug. 26.

Scam

STONINGTON - State police at Stonington are investigating an alleged mailing scam.

Police said an individual received a letter in the mail from someone claiming to be an attorney of a deceased relative in another country who needed to have a diplomatic consignment signed so he could release half of the securities fund to the person while keeping the other half for himself.

The incident was reported Aug. 25.

Mailboxes damaged

UPPER MAHANOY TOWNSHIP - Krista Schaible, 43, of Dornsife, told state police at Stonington that someone damaged her mailboxes along Clay Hill Road on Aug. 29 or Aug. 30.

Criminal trespass

PAXINOS - Melissa Sulick, 48, of Shamokin, was charged by state police at Stonington with criminal trespass for entering National Ticket Company at 6:40 p.m. Aug. 28 after being warned not to enter the premises.

Vehicle parts stolen

SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP - State police at Stonington reported someone stole vehicle parts from a wrecked Ford F-150 truck owned by Zachery Rothermel, 23, of Upper Road, Shamokin, while it was at Dan Shingara's lot along Route 61 between Aug. 26 and Aug. 30.

Access device fraud

UPPER AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP - Robert Melvin Benelisha, 62, of 312 Seven Points Road, Sunbury, reported someone used her Visa check card to withdraw cash from an ATM without her consent at 1 p.m. Aug. 21 at the Sunoco station along Route 890.

Route 147 accident

UPPER AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP - Krystal R. Kaminski, 24, of Locust Gap, was injured and transported by Americus Ambulance to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville following a one-car crash along Route 147 on Aug. 30 near Sunbury.

State police at Stonington reported Kaminski was driving a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier north at 9:55 a.m. when she lost control while rounding a curve. The car then exited the east berm and struck guide rail. After impact, the vehicle continued east and hit a rocky embankment before overturning.

Police said the extent of Kaminski's injuries was unknown.

Kaminski was cited for failure to drive in a single lane.

Her car was towed by Aurand's of Sunbury.

Retail theft

COAL TOWNSHIP - Jennifer L. Yomer, 30, of 308 S. Maple St., Mount Carmel, and Trisha Lynn Howard, 32, of 945 Scott St., Kulpmont, were charged by Patrolman Edward Purcell with retail theft and criminal conspiracy to commit retail theft.

Police reported Yomer and Howard are accused of stealing $433.49 in merchandise from Wal-Mart Supercenter on Aug. 18.

Merchandise stolen

COAL TOWNSHIP - Holly E. Madden, 23, of 63 Raspberry Hill, Shamokin, and Angelic Ortiz, 40, of 37 S. Franklin St., Shamokin, were charged by Patrolman Jason Adams with retail theft and criminal conspiracy to commit retail theft for stealing $27.40 in merchandise from Wal-Mart Supercenter on Aug. 12.

Serious injuries

LEWIS TOWNSHIP - Samuel Corey Long, 32, of Turbotville, was flown by Life Flight helicopter to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville after suffering serious head and internal injuries when he fell out of a car onto Welliver Road Wednesday night in this Northumberland County township.

State police at Milton reported Long was a front-seat passenger in a 2005 Ford Focus operated by Tara Elizabeth Hassinger, 29, of Turbotville, who escaped injury in the 10:30 p.m. accident east of Route 44.

Long was listed in critical condition Thursday, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

As the car was traveling east, police said Long climbed out the passenger side window in an attempt to either sit or stand outside the vehicle. Police said Long then fell onto the road as the auto was traveling approximately 35 miles per hour.

Police said alcohol was involved in the incident.

Thefts

COAL TOWNSHIP - Charges were filed by Patrolman Matthew Hashuga against two people accused of stealing in separate incidents from Walmart Supercenter, Route 61.

Ryan Composto, 23, of Hazle Township, is charged with three counts of retail theft. It's alleged that he stole two 48-inch Vizio TVs on July 31 and Aug. 2. The TVs are valued at a combined $1,087.98. It's also alleged that he attempted to steal another 48-inch Vizio TV on July 27 and damaged it in the process.

Jamie Hernandez, 31, of Coal Township, a former store employee, is charged with one count of theft. Police say an additional $910 was inadvertently loaded onto her payroll check card on July 17. She spent the money instead of returning it, police said.

Biking while intoxicated

STRONG - A Wilburton man faces a charge of driving under the influence following a traffic stop near the Geisinger Medical House on Route 61 at 12:35 a.m. July 22.

Mount Carmel Township Police Patrolman Kelly Campbell reported in court documents that he was on patrol in the area when he observed Christopher S. Olarry, 25, of 346 W. Third St., riding a bicycle north on State Route 61 without any front or rear lighting. Campbell observed a strong odor of alcohol and conducted field sobriety tests, which Olarry failed. He was later taken for chemical blood testing and Olarry's blood alcohol level was observed to be .204 percent at the time.

Olarry was charged with two counts of driving under the influence and failure to use lamps and other equipment on pedalcycles. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 1 before Magisterial District Judge Hugh A. Jones, of Mount Carmel.

Drug paraphernalia

MOUNT CARMEL - Corey R. Yentsch, 29, of 237 E. Avenue, Mount Carmel, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal trespass following an incident at a South Oak Street business at 2 a.m. Aug. 31.

Mount Carmel Borough Police Patrolman Justin Stelma reported Yentsch was at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, where his girlfriend is employed as a bartender, and refused to leave. As police were on the scene, Yentsch squeezed a water bottle and threw it on the bar. Police said that as he was taken into custody and searched for weapons, they found a metal smoking pipe in one pocket and a open packed of synthetic marijuana in another.

The charges were filed with Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, of Mount Carmel, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for Oct. 1.

DUI charge

MOUNT CARMEL TOWNSHIP - John V. Shustack, 48, of 25 S. Peach St., Mount Carmel, faces a charge of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop at 1:32 a.m. July 1 on Route 901.

Mount Carmel Township Officer Matthew Filarski reported Shustack was found in a cardiac arrest and hunched over his steering wheel. He told police that he had taken seroquel and suboxone at the time, but then later admitted to also snorting a line of "speed." Chemical testing showed drugs in his system at the time of the incident.

The charge was filed with Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, of Mount Carmel, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for Oct. 1.

Condition update

DANVILLE - Damian Konopka, 42, of Shamokin, remained in critical condition Sunday afternoon, recovering from injuries suffered in a car crash Saturday along Route 61 near the Plumbing Outlet in Coal Township.

Township police reported at the scene that Konopka was traveling north on Route 61 when, for an unknown reason, he crossed both sets of lanes and sideswiped a 2009 Subaru Forester, driven by Theresa Orner, 47, of Kulpmont. Orner's vehicle was at the entrance to Route 61 off Main Street in Ranshaw.

Following the initial hit, Konopka's vehicle traveled approximately 275 yards through the west wooded berm of Route 61 before coming to a final rest near the business and other structures.

The impact of the crash uprooted a tree on the side of the road.

DUI charges filed

RIVERSIDE - State police charged Calvin D. Forrester Jr., 47, of 171 Almond Lane, Wilkes-Barre, with two counts of driving under the influence and careless driving, the result of a traffic stop at 5:16 a.m. Aug. 2, on Sunbury Road.

Trooper Nicholas Berger of the Stonington barracks reported in court documents that he and another officer were called for a report of a disabled motorist, and found Forrester parked in a field with his four-way flashers on. Forrester told police that he stopped on the side of the road and when he went to pull out, got stuck.

After failing a preliminary breath test, Forrester was transported to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville for blood testing. The results came back that his blood alcohol level at the time was .13 percent.

The charges were filed with Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, of Mount Carmel, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for Oct. 15.

High grass

COAL TOWNSHIP - George A. Atiyeh, P.O. Box 151, Mount Carmel, was cited Thursday by code officer Chris Petrovich for high grass and weeds at 1204 Hemlock St., a vacant lot.

Code violation

COAL TOWNSHIP - Richard C. Kerstetter, of 1010 E. Chestnut St., was cited for an occupancy violation at his home on Aug. 14 and also on Thursday, according to code officer Chris Petrovich.

Crash at Walmart

COAL TOWNSHIP - Ann Kane, 78, of 131 Centre St., Ashland, will be cited for a turning violation stemming from a two-car crash near Walmart Supercenter along Route 61 about 10 a.m. Saturday.

Patrolman Chris Lapotsky said Kane attempted to turn left into the Walmart parking lot and drove into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by Matthew Amarose, 47, of 321 S. Vine St., Mount Carmel.

Neither driver was injured, police say. Amarose's vehicle was towed.

Bike found

COAL TOWNSHIP - A men's bicycle was found Sunday at Gowen and Owl streets. The owner can claim it by calling police at 570-644-0333.

Car rolls

STONINGTON - Jamie Poeth, 35, of Kulpmont, escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash about 6 p.m. Sunday along Route 61 in Rockefeller Township, approximately one mile south of Carroll Road.

Trooper Wendy Keefer, state police at Stonington, says Poeth swerved to avoid striking a deer and drove off the highway. Her 2000 Ford Escort then rolled onto its roof.

Police say she was wearing a seat belt.

DUI crash

ELYSBURG - Joshua M. Emerick, 31, of Williamsport, was charged by Ralpho Township Patrolman Chris Dailey with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of failure to drive in a single lane involving an April 27 one-vehicle accident along Route 54 near Dave's Flowers.

Emerick, who was ejected from his black Mazda after it went over an embankment, suffered injuries in the crash and underwent emergency room treatment at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Police said he had a blood-alcohol content of .231 percent.

Multiple offenses

SHAMOKIN - Kenneth Elliott Jr., 24, of 1222 W. Willow St., Coal Township, was charged by Patrolman Raymond Siko II with criminal mischief, simple assault, harassment and two counts of disorderly conduct involving an Aug. 17 disturbance at Fifth and Boyd streets.

According to a criminal complaint filed at the office of Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III, Elliott is accused of assaulting his girlfriend, Jessica Kodack, inside a pickup truck and causing approximately $5,000 in damage to the truck, which is owned by Stephen Motyka.

Kodack suffered redness on her face and bruises to her right upper arm and left knee that required her to be transported to a hospital for additional treatment.

Police said Elliott smashed the front and back windows on the truck, damaged the steering column, snapped off the gear shift, stood on the hood, causing dents, ripped the glove box from the dash board, pulled the rear view mirror off the front window and damaged the seats.

DUI offenses

SHAMOKIN - Patrolman Scott Weaver charged Jeffrey S. Cosgrove, 48, of 165 Coal Run Road, Coal Township, with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, fleeing or attempting to elude police, operating an ATV on a street, three stop sign violations, careless driving and trespass by motor vehicle.

The charges relate to incidents that began at approximately 1:40 a.m. Aug. 17 when police spotted Cosgrove driving an ATV north on Shamokin Street near Independence Street. Police said Cosgrove traveled through a stop sign at that intersection before going through two more stop signs at Franklin and Commerce streets and Mount Carmel and Commerce streets.

Police said Cosgrove then fled onto Route 61 into Coal Township at a high rate of speed while failing to comply with three requests by police to pull over. Police said Cosgrove eventually turned off the berm and traveled into a private lot that was blocked off for vehicles and went over a steep embankment before losing control and crashing.

Cosgrove consented to a blood test that revealed a blood-alcohol content of .20 percent, police said.

DUI offenses

THARPTOWN - Stacy Jo Mantz, 38, of 1005 N. Pearl St., Shamokin, was charged by Trooper Justin Rosboschil of state police at Stonington with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, careless driving, driving without a license, failure to exhibit a driver's license on demand, driving under suspension, driving on the wrong side of the road, failure to drive in a single lane, restrictions on alcoholic beverages and failing to wear a seat belt.

The offenses relate to an Aug. 17 traffic stop at the intersection of Hospital Road and Route 61 at Tharptown.

Police said Mantz had a blood-alcohol content of .094 percent.

Hit and run

SHAMOKIN - Robert R. Clark, 53, of 626 W. Pine St., Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman Scott Weaver with hit and run and limitations on backing involving an Aug. 22 accident at the drive-through ATM at M&T Bank.

Multiple charges

SHAMOKIN - Robert Joseph Clark, 24, of 626 W. Pine St., Shamokin, was charged by Cpl. Jarrod Scandle with multiple offenses involving two incidents in the city.

Clark is charged with harassment for allegedly threatening to kill Marlin Koons on two occasions via text messages Aug. 30 at 604 W. Mulberry St.

Clark also faces charges of limitations on backing, failure to give information and render aid at an accident and hit and run relating to an Aug. 26 accident in the first block of West Independence Street.

Drug paraphernalia

SHAMOKIN - Brianna Hanford, 21, of 1002 1/2 E. Chestnut St., Sunbury, was charged by Cpl. Jarrod Scandle with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported Hanford possessed a gold pipe used to smoke marijuana/Spice. Police said the pipe contained burnt residue.

The pipe was found in Hanford's vehicle July 20 in the 400 block of North Shamokin Street.

DUI offenses

ELYSBURG - Ralpho Township Patrolman Chris Grow has charged Kenneth Horvath, 50, of 350 Rushtown Road, Danville, with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to use his turn signal involving a Dec. 4 traffic stop at the intersection of Route 487 and Bottle Drive.

Police reported Horvath had a blood-alcohol content of .162 percent.

DUI

MOUNT CARMEL TOWNSHIP - Patrolman Matthew Filarski has charged Zachary T. Swisher, 24, of Montoursville, with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving under the influence of a combination of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Police said Swisher was found under the influence of Delta-9 THC, Delta-9 Carboxy and Hydroxy Delta-9 THC and also had soda bottle caps, tweezers with residue and sandwich baggies containing a small amount of marijuana on his possession when stopped during a sobriety checkpoint July 21 on Route 901 in Mount Carmel Township.

Charges dismissed

MOUNT CARMEL - Charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, theft and receiving stolen property filed by Mount Carmel Patrolman Justin Stelma against Casey Sue Kern, 27, of 137 W. Third St., Mount Carmel, were dismissed Sept. 3 by Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones after the victim failed to appear for a hearing.

Kern was charged with stealing 30 Xanax tablets and 52 Vicodin pills belonging to her mother, Patricia Wright, on June 11.

Driver charged

ATLAS - Christina S. Snyder, 33, of 254 W. Saylor St., Atlas, has been charged by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman Kelly Campbell with driving a vehicle without an ignition interlock system involving an Aug. 24 vehicle stop on Route 61 near the Pine Burr Inn.

Code issue settled

MOUNT CARMEL - A public nuisance charge filed by Police Chief Todd Owens against Edward W. Spielberger, 73, of 211 W. Cherry St., Shenandoah, was withdrawn Wednesday by the commonwealth at the office of Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones after he made the proper repairs to his property at 241 W. Seventh St., Mount Carmel.

Police charged Spielberger in April for ongoing code and public safety violations at the property.

Public nuisance

SHAMOKIN - Cpl. Bryan Primerano has cited three people for causing a public nuisance at properties they own in the city.

Sharon L. Ragan, 50, of Kunkletown, was cited Wednesday for allowing a property at 613-615 Bear Valley Ave. to be in danger of collapsing.

Miguel Gonzalez, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was cited twice for the same violation involving incidents at his property at 415 S. Market St. on Monday and Wednesday.

Anthony M. Venturino, 33, of Hamden, Conn., also was cited twice for the same violation in connection with incidents at his property at 663 Bear Valley Ave. on Monday and Wednesday.

Criminal mischief

MOUNT CARMEL - Shawn M. Soliday, 30, of 10 S. Vine St., Shamokin, was charged by Lt. Christopher Buhay with criminal mischief for allegedly smashing out the windshield and two windows on a pickup truck owned by Jason Dillow while it was parked in the 400 block of North Walnut Street on Aug. 23.

False information

PAXINOS - Jennings E. Brown III, 43, of Philadelphia, was charged by Ralpho Township Patrolman Chris Grow with providing police with false identification.

Police said Brown gave police a false name and date of birth upon being found in a vehicle that went into a field near Drug Plastics and Glass Co. on Bottle Drive on March 21. Coal Township Patrolman Edward Purcell informed Grow he had a warrant for Brown's arrest for providing him with false identification.

Disorderly behavior

SHAMOKIN - Jeffery Barber, 21, of 124 E. Chestnut St., Shamokin, was cited by Patrolman Scott Weaver for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. Police say he was observed to be visibly intoxicated in the first block of South Rock Street and the surrounding area about 1:45 a.m. Saturday. He allegedly had laid down in the street and in a nearby parking lot and, according to police, was a general annoyance to everyone in his vicinity. Barber's 21st birthday was Friday.

Drunkenness

SHAMOKIN - Leon T. Supsic, 22, of 636 W. State St., Shamokin, was cited by Patrolman Raymond Siko II for public drunkenness for an incident at 11:30 p.m. Aug. 31 in the 100 block of West Commerce Street.

DUI

SHAMOKIN - Andre Stone, 32, of 612 E. Commerce St., Shamokin, has been charged by Cpl. Jarrod Scandle with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under suspension and careless driving relating to an Oct. 12, 2012, accident at Shamokin and Spurzheim streets.

Police said Stone refused to submit to a blood test.

Couple charged

SHAMOKIN - Jamie Michael Stine, 30, and his wife, Mandy Lynn Stine, 26, of 126 N. Eighth St., Shamokin, were charged by Patrolman Raymond Siko II with disorderly conduct involving a Sept. 2 fight at their residence.

Police said the fight disturbed neighbors.

Mandy Stine also was charged by Siko with disorderly conduct for screaming at neighbors in the middle of the street outside her home Sept. 3.

Drug offenses

SHAMOKIN - John T. Howe Jr., 22, of 112 Hunter St., Coal Township, was charged by Cpl. Jarrod Scandle with two counts of driving under the influence of a combination of drugs, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving.

The charges relate to a July 16 traffic stop at Route 61 and Lombard Street in which police found marijuana, Oxycodone tablets, several small plastic baggies, a blue grinder and digital scale containing marijuana residue.

DUI charges

SNYDERTOWN - Trooper Brian Ronk of state police at Stonington has charged Cheryl Sue Batdorf, 52, of 1034 Ross Road, Snydertown, with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, careless driving, a turn signal violation and failure to exhibit her driver's license on demand.

Police reported the charges stem from a July 31 disturbance at Batdorf's residence.

Police said Batdorf had a blood-alcohol content of .197 percent.

Flag stolen

Vehicle violations

KULPMONT - Aubrey E. Utt, 27, of 1232 Scott St., Kulpmont, was charged by Patrolman David Tomtishen with driving with an altered plate, driving with an expired registration and driving without insurance relating to an Aug. 26 vehicle stop at Ninth and Chestnut streets.

Retail theft

COAL TOWNSHIP - Corena J. Reid, 42, of 109 W. Commerce St., Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman Matthew Hashuga with retail theft for stealing $28.32 worth of merchandise June 3 from Walmart Supercenter.

PFA violation

LOCUST GAP - David Allen Sadusky, 34, of 502 McKnight St., Gordon, was charged by Patrolman David Stamets Jr. with violating a protection from abuse order filed by his estranged wife, Amy Sadusky.

Police said the defendant violated the order by going to his wife's home at 269 Main St., Locust Gap, on Aug. 11.

Stolen from Navy vehicle

MONROE TOWNSHIP - State police at Selinsgrove report that sometime between 3 p.m. Sept. 5 and 2 p.m Sept. 7, someone entered a government vehicle owned by the U.S. Navy that was parked outside the Susquehanna Valley Mall and removed a Garmin GPS, phone charger and an auxiliary from it.

Code violations

COAL TOWNSHIP - George Atiyeh, of Mount Carmel, received four citations from township code enforcement officer Chris Petrovich Monday for violating various codes at a property he owns at 1255 Pulaski Avenue.

Petrovich reports Atiyeh was cited for failing to have an occupancy permit for the location, reporting a change in occupants to the township with 10 days of change, for having high brush, grass and weeds and for having indoor furniture outdoors on the front porch.

Trashes apartment

ATLAS - Justin M. Terway, 22, formerly of 105 W. Girard St., Apt. E, Atlas, has been charged with trashing his former apartment and stealing two radiators in March.

Terway is charged by Mount Carmel Township Police Chief Brian Hollenbush with theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief. Police said the apartment and radiators are owned by Kirsten Knepp.

Police reported Terway and his live-in girlfriend, Michelle Levengood, who was previously arrested on the same charges, trashed their former apartment and removed the radiators before selling them for $107.10 at SOS Metals Inc. on March 13. Police said total damage to the apartment is $5,940. Terway and Levengood are responsible for splitting the cost of the total damage.

Terway was taken into custody by Northumberland County deputy sheriffs Wednesday on a bench warrant in Sullivan County and placed in a holding cell at the county prison. He was arraigned by video Thursday morning by Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones and committed in lieu of $30,000 cash bail.

Theft, drug charges

SHAMOKIN - Patrick E. Shinskie, 23, of 720 N. Franklin St., Shamokin, has been charged by Patrolman Scott Weaver with theft from a motor vehicle, loitering and prowling at night, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal conspiracy.

Police reported Shinskie and another male are accused of stealing change from vehicles parked in the first block of South Rock Street at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Police also found a syringe in Shinskie's shoe that he used for heroin.

Hit and run

SHAMOKIN - Patrolman Raymond Siko II has charged Kimberly A. Olearnick, 28, of 240 S. Beech St., Mount Carmel, with two counts of hit and run, careless driving, driving under suspension, failure to provide information and render aid at an accident.

Police reported Olearnick was driving a car that rear-ended a vehicle operated by Tara Henz at Market and Sunbury streets April 28. After both drivers pulled into the lot at Dunkin' Donuts, Henz said she was going to call police. Olearnick then fled the scene, claiming she had to pick up her kids.

ATV crash

BURNSIDE - Tammy Mauser, 50, of Jonestown, suffered a lower left leg injury when her all-terrain vehicle rolled Sunday at the Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area (AOAA).

Coal Township police said Mauser was riding an Arctic Cat 450 shortly before 1 p.m. when the vehicle rolled. She was attempting to climb a rock near trail intersection 736-738. Her husband, 52-year-old Clarence Mauser, was riding along with her on a separate vehicle. She drove herself back to the trail head.

AREA Services Ambulance took her to Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital, Coal Township, for treatment.

Escapes injury

MANDATA - Andrew S. Aucker, 19, of Port Trevorton, escaped injury when he crashed into a ditch Saturday along Route 225 near the Line Mountain Middle/High School.

Trooper Samuel Edwards, state police at Stonington, said Aucker was driving a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire south shortly before 1 p.m. when he lost control on a left curve. It was raining at the time.

Aucker was wearing a seat belt. He was cited for driving too fast for conditions and for failing to keep his vehicle on the roadway.

Camper burglary

SNYDERTOWN - Thomas William Hovenstine, 70, of Sunbury, reported to state police at Stonington that someone broke a window and burglarized his Coachmen camper between 8 a.m. June 1 and 6:51 p.m. Sept. 12.

Two miniature refrigerators, a VCR and a 19-inch television were stolen.

The camper was parked along Snydertown Road across from Kampco in Upper Augusta Township.

SEVEN POINTS - Robert Benelish, of 312 Seven Points Road, Sunbury, reported a bench grinder was stolen from his home between March 1 and April 30. Information of the theft was released Sunday. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 570-286-5601.

Trailer stolen

EAST CAMERON - Eric Hlasey Miller, of Supreme Industries, Harwiton, Conn., reported a 2012 Loadrite two-wheel utility trailer with about 40 bales of hay was stolen from 664 Bates Road, East Cameron Township, between 3 p.m. Sept. 8 and 7:30 a.m. Sept. 9. Assault, harassment

LYKENS - Autumn Marga Englehardt, 33, of Dalmatia, was charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly by state police after she allegedly choked a 50-year-old woman from Dalmatia with her arm at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at a camping site located near Powells Valley Road and Back Road, Jefferson Township.

Simple assault

SHAMOKIN - Andrew Ebbecke, 18, of 1574 Pulaski Ave., Coal Township, was charged by Patrolman Scott Weaver with two counts of simple assault and one count each of disorderly conduct and criminal mischief relating to a Sept. 9 disturbance at 41 S. Rock St.

Police reported Ebbeccke is accused of hitting Cody Erdman, 18, in the head with a metal pipe, throwing the pipe at 21-year-old Brian Hornberger and smashing a windshield on a parked car owned by Michael Tilley, 44, with the pipe at about 2:45 a.m. Police said Ebbecke then chased Erdman in his car up to Big Mountain Road.

Erdman suffered injuries that required treatment at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

DUI offenses

SHAMOKIN - Nicole L. Albertson, 23, of Milton, was charged by Patrolman Raymond Siko II with two counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and failure to display a registration plate involving an Aug. 31 incident in the 500 block of North First Street.

Police said Albertson had Oxycodone and a synthetic cannabinoid in her blood system.

Assault

COAL TOWNSHIP - Darlene A. Scandle, 40, of 1030 W. Pine St., Coal Township, was charged by Patrolman Jason Adams with simple assault and harassment relating to a disturbance Friday night in the 1200 block of Burnside Street.

According to a criminal complaint filed at the office of Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III, Scandle allegedly punched Angela Sickora in the face and grabbed both her arms, causing bruises and contusions. Police said the assault occurred at 7:21 p.m. while the victim was running.

Theft, disorderly conduct

MOUNT CARMEL - Joseph Michael Dormer, 18, of 206 W. Cherry St., Apt. 3, Mount Carmel, was remanded to Northumberland County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail after he was arraigned on Monday on charges of criminal conspiracy, robbery, simple assault, theft, receiving stolen property, disorderly conduct, and harassment.

Mount Carmel Patrolman Justin Stelma said around midnight Monday, Sept. 1, he witnessed Shawn Matukaitis yelling "Do you want to fight now?" at Dormer on South Oak Street. When police approached the two men, Dormer fled down Oak Street. Matukaitis told police he had been attacked by a group of six men, led by Dormer. At the end of the fight, Matukaitis discovered a six pack of Miller Lite and cigarettes, valued at $11, were taken from him.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 15.

Multiple charges

MOUNT CARMEL - A borough man was charged with two counts of institutional vandalism after he allegedly urinated and defecated inside a holding cell at the Mount Carmel Township police station.

Kaleb Alexander Roney, 20, of 504 W. Second St., Mount Carmel, was taken into custody by township patrolman Kelly Campbell around 1 a.m. Friday after Grace Pivarnik, of 127 W. Melrose St., Marion Heights, reported that Roney was attempting to break into her house. Campbell located Roney at the scene and found him to smell of alcohol and campfire. His eyes were red and glassy, his speech was slurred and he was having a difficult time maintaining his balance.

Campbell found a small green baggie containing green leafy substance later identified as marijuana, a homemade smoking device made out of aluminum foil and a lighter in Roney's pockets. He transported to Roney to the Mount Carmel Township Police Department and placed him in a holding cell.

Later, Campbell heard what sounded like running water so he checked on Roney and saw him urinating in the cell against the concrete block wall. While he wrote up a complaint about the urination, he began to smell feces, so he checked on Roney again and saw him defecating on a wooden seat within the cell area. Neither time did the defendant ask to use the restroom, said Campbell in the affidavit.

Roney was arraigned on Friday in front of Magisterial District Judge Hugh A. Jones. In addition to the two counts of institutional vandalism, he was also charged with criminal trespass, loitering and prowling at nighttime, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, false identification to law enforcement authorities, underage drinking and public drunkenness. He was released on $5,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for today.

PFA, assault

TREVORTON - A Trevorton man who allegedly threatened to burn down the house of a village woman after violating a protection from abuse order Tuesday night is behind bars today.

Jessie O. Marshall, 47, of 722 W. Market St., was arraigned at 1 p.m. Wednesday by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III and committed to Northumberland County Prison, Sunbury, in lieu of $40,000 cash bail on all charges.

According to a criminal complaint filed by Trooper Thomas Leib of state police at Stonington, Marshall went to the home of his former live-in girlfriend, Tiffany Bridi, at 722 W. Market St., at 9:34 p.m., which violated a PFA order Bridi filed against him.

After being given time to gather his belongings and told not to return to the home, police said Marshall became irate, used obscenities and threatened to burn down Bridi's house and harm her.

Police said Marshall returned to the residence a short time later in an enraged state. Police reported Marshall, who demanded his coat, failed to listen to commands to calm down multiple times and resisted arrest when Leib attempted to handcuff him.

Marshall then approached Trooper Wendy Keefer and pushed her toward the steps at the residence, prompting to Keefer to use a Taser on him.

In addition to violating the PFA order, Marshall is charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and harassment.

Public nuisance

MOUNT CARMEL - Kazimir Craig Grohowski, 43, of 515 W. Avenue, Mount Carmel, was charged by Patrolman Matthew Dillman with causing a public nuisance and disorderly conduct involving an Aug. 24 incident at his residence.

Police reported Grohowski allowed a large amount of garbage to accumulate on his property and in a shed.

Multiple charges

MARION HEIGHTS - Matthew M. Zigarski, 23, of 126 Washington Drive, Den-Mar Gardens, was charged by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman Kelly Campbell with theft, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, harassment, restrictions on alcoholic beverages and driving under suspension.

Police reported Zigarski is accused of stealing a vehicle owned by Joseph D'Andrea, of 135 E. Warsaw St., Marion Heights, at about 4:30 a.m. July 12. Police found the vehicle about an hour later in the 100 block of East Seventh Street in Mount Carmel.

Crash

COAL TOWNSHIP - Two people were injured in a two-car collision near Walmart SuperCenter on Route 61 just before 6 p.m. Thursday.

According to Coal Township police, Kristen Hepler, 24, of Kulpmont, was traveling north through the intersection in a 2013 Volkswagen sedan, which was struck by a 2002 Mercury driven by Shelby Morrow, 18, of Shamokin. Police said Morrow was attempting to turn left into the Coal Township Plaza.

Both drivers were taken to Geisinger Medical Center by AREA Services for treatment. The two vehicles were towed from the scene.

Witnesses told police Morrow failed to yield the right of way to Hepler. Charges will be filed pending the completion of the accident investigation, said police.

Two-vehicle crash

COAL TOWNSHIP - No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday near the entrance to Anthra Plaza.

Coal Township Police patrolman Chad Yoder reported a 2007 Nissan Armada, driven by Brittney Fertig, 23, of 2063 Old Reading Road, Paxinos, pulled from the Anthra Plaza onto State Route 2026 and into the path of a 2003 Pontiac Vibe, driven by Dorris Shoffler, 39, of 1093 State Route 2026. Both vehicles were damaged in the crash, but Shoffler's vehicle was towed due to a flat tire.

Five passengers in Fertig's vehicle, children ranging in ages from 2 to 8, and the two drivers were uninjured in the crash.

Township gas theft

PITMAN - Police said someone stole fuel from tanks at the Eldred Township building, 154 Ridge Road, between 2 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Trooper Peter F. Mohn of the state police at Schuylkill Haven is investigating the incident in which one or more actors broke an overhead light bulb in the parking lot near two 500-gallon gas tanks, cut the padlocks off both tanks, stole fuel and fled.

Police did not say how much fuel was stolen.

Deer causes crash

PAXINOS - A Snyder County woman escaped about 5:30 p.m. Friday in a one-vehicle crash on Bottle Road.

Angie Olson, of Shamokin Dam, told police she was driving north when a deer darted into the path of her car as she rounded a slight curve. She swerved to avoid hitting the animal and her car mounted a steep embankment on the east side of the road, where it became disabled.

Elysburg and Overlook firefighters, ambulance, EMTs and fire police responded. Traffic on the two-lane road west of here was reduced to one lane while the vehicle was removed.

Crash

RALPHO TOWNSHIP - Three people were injured in a three car crash on Route 54 in front of Sheetz in Ralpho Township at 10:12 a.m. Sunday.

Ralpho Township police said Justin W. Janovich, of Paxinos, was attempting to make a left turn from Route 54 into Sheetz when he crossed into the path of John R. Steininger, of Reading, who was traveling east on Route 54. Janovich's vehicle then collided with a vehicle sitting at the entrance of Sheetz, driven by Leobardo S. Alvarez, of East Bend, NC.

Janovich and passenger Eric Weist, of Paxinos, were not injured. A 15-year-old passenger in Janovich's vehicle was injured and transported to Geisinger-Shamokin Community Hospital. Steininger and a passenger, Donald Cooke, of West Lawn, were injured and treated at the scene by Elysburg Paramedics. Alverez and two passengers, Louis Aroyo and Falappia Casdro, both of East Bend, N.C., were not injured.

Assisting at the scene were Elysburg and Ralpho Township fire departments, Elysburg and AREA Service paramedics and Elysburg Fire Police.

Two-vehicle accident

THARPTOWN - Police here reported charges are pending against Michael Miller, 50, of Danville, in connection with a two-vehicle accident Saturday night at the intersection of 16th Street (Hospital Road) and Route 61.

Coal Township Cpl. Terry Ketchem said Miller was driving a Ford truck on 16th Street (Hospital Road) at 10:10 p.m. toward Route 61 when his vehicle struck the rear end of a Dodge coupe operated by Jesse Bright, 30, of Shamokin, who was stopped at a red light at the intersection with Route 61.

No injuries were reported.

Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were towed from the scene by Anthracite Towing.

Assisting Ketchem were Ralpho Township Cpl. Bryon Chowka and Coal Township Deputy Fire Chief Kevin Malukas.

Harassment

MOUNT CARMEL - Jeffrey Lee Miller, 24, of 34 N. Market St., and a 17-year-old Mount Carmel juvenile were cited by Lt. Christopher Buhay with harassment for striking each other during a physical fight inside of 34 N. Market St. at 1:15 p.m. Sept. 11 .

Trespassing

MOUNT CARMEL - Patrolman William Adamski cited Edward Shuder, 34, of 7 Donahue Row, Mount Carmel, David Wengrenovich Jr., 23, of 339 S. Poplar St., Mount Carmel, and Brent Rosenbaum, 23, of 1404 Hemlock St., Coal Township, with criminal trespass for entering 304 N. Vine St. without permission at 7:40 p.m. Aug. 11.

Disorderly Conduct

MOUNT CARMEL - Nicholas Karlaza, 22, of 300 W. Fig St., Mount Carmel, was cited by Lt. Christopher Buhay with disorderly conduct for making unreasonable noise at 6:30 a.m. Sept. 13 at 300 W. Fig St.

Public drunkenness

MOUNT CARMEL - Steven R. Knock, 23, of 14 S. Willow St., Mount Carmel, was cited with public drunkenness by Patrolman David Donkochik after he became involved in a disturbance and refused to leave the area at 3:40 a.m. Sept. 21.

Disorderly conduct

COAL TOWNSHIP - Carol Brown, 55, of 1533 W. Walnut St., Coal Township, was cited by Patrolman Chad Yoder for disorderly conduct relating to a disturbance at 9:15 p.m. Thursday at her residence.

Police reported Brown, who was consuming alcohol, yelled from her front porch, alarming neighbors. Police said Brown was asked to desist, but continued until officers were summoned back to her home.

Retail theft

SHAMOKIN - Rebecca L. Hancock, 31, of 170 E. Dewart St., Shamokin, was cited by Patrolman Scott Weaver for retail theft for allegedly stealing sunglasses valued at $14.05 from the Dollar General on East Independence Street on Aug. 8.

Harassment

COAL TOWNSHIP - Jason Mirack, 39, of 1234 W. Spruce St., was cited by police for disorderly conduct and harassment after allegedly intentionally spitting on the vehicle of his neighbor, George Zalar, of 1223 W. Spruce St., at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Zalar told police that his vehicle was spit on during the early morning hours several times in the past.

Retail theft

SHAMOKIN - Stephen Smith, 35, of 249 S. Franklin St., was cited by Shamokin Police Patrolman First Class Scott Weaver for allegedly taking an energy drink from the Dollar General store Aug. 26 and concealing it in his pocket, but telling a store clerk he put it back on the shelf.

Simple assault

SHAMOKIN - Stephen Kei Chamberlain, 22, of 392 Overlook Blvd., Shamokin, is charged by Cpl. Jarrod Scandle with simple assault and harassment. Chamberlain is accused of punching Jeffrey Klinger in the face, causing injury. The two were engaged in an argument about 6:40 p.m. Sept. 16 inside 1015 N. Franklin St., according to police.

SHAMOKIN - Four defendants pleaded guilty Tuesday to various charges and were ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay fines and costs.

n Marcus Richardson, 19, of Suitland, Md., who is currently a cadet at Northwestern Academy, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was ordered to pay a $300 fine plus costs and placed on supervised probation for one year.

An additional charge of possessing Spice was withdrawn.

Richardson was charged Tuesday by Coal Township Patrolman Jason Adams in connection with an Aug. 27 drug overdose at the academy that resulted in him being transported to Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital. Police said Richardson became unruly while being transported in an ambulance, pushed paramedics and punched Northwestern Academy staff member David Kraynak in the face before Kraynak and hospital security personnel were able to calm Richardson down.

n Kip Dorkoski, 50, of 911 W. Pine St., Coal Township, pleaded guilty to harassment and was ordered to pay a $300 fine plus costs. Additional charges of simple assault and terroristic threats were withdrawn.

Dorkoski was charged by Coal Township Cpl. Joshua Wynn with punching his sister-in-law, Robin Dorkoski, in the face and shoving her, causing injury. The victim told police Kip Dorkoski also threatened to kill her.

Police said the incidents occurred Sept. 3 at the defendant's residence.

n Delvin Williams, 29, of 1042 W. Water St., Coal Township, pleaded guilty to harassment and was ordered to pay a $200 fine plus costs. An additional charge of simple assault was withdrawn.

Williams was charged by Coal Township Patrolman Matthew Henrich with assaulting his wife, Margaret Williams, Aug. 28 at their home.

n Jeffrey L. Smith, 25, of 1429 W. Pine St., Coal Township, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and was ordered to pay a $300 fine plus costs and placed on supervised probation for one year.

Smith was charged by Henrich in connection with a July 3 incident at the defendant's home.

SHAMOKIN - Jarrod Moyle, 40, of 401 N. Rock St., Shamokin, was cited by Patrolman Mark Costa for public drunkenness after being found lying at Water and Rock streets at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday under the influence of alcohol.

MOUNT CARMEL - Andrew L. Hartzell, 20, of 156 E. Independence St., Apt. 4B, Shamokin, pleaded guilty Wednesday to driving without a license and careless driving relating to a June 15 incident on Route 2038 near Dooleyville.

Hartzell was ordered by Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones to pay $362.50 in fines plus costs.

Additional charges of failing to have proper registration for an ATV, failing to have liability insurance, fleeing or attempting to elude police and operating an ATV on a street or highway were withdrawn.

The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman Daniel Politza.

Drug offenses

MOUNT CARMEL - Jeffrey M. Trocki, 39, of 341 W. Fourth St., Mount Carmel, was charged by Patrolman Kevin Katch with obtaining a controlled substance by forgery, forgery and altering a prescription Aug. 18 at Community Pharmacy at 49 S. Oak St.

Drug charges

SUNBURY - Cynthia A, Tiebout, 25, of Susquehanna Avenue, Sunbury, was charged by Officer Stephen Bennick with criminal conspiracy, delivering nine Oxycodone Hydrochloride tablets, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance involving a Sept. 18 incident at 345 Race St.

Tiebout was arraigned Friday by on-call Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones and committed to Northumberland County Prison in Sunbury in lieu of $50,000 cash bail. She was released Tuesday on unsecured bail.

PFA violation

LOCUST GAP - David Allen Sadusky, 34, of 502 McKnight St., Gordon, was charged by Mount Carmel Township Police Chief Brian Hollenbush with violating a protection from abuse order.

Sadusky is accused of leaving 39 text messages for his estranged wife, Amy Sadusky, between Sept. 5 and Sept. 15.

Sadusky was previously charged with the same offense.

Pipe found at school

COAL TOWNSHIP - A 15-year-old Shamokin male was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after he was found with a glass smoking pipe while he was a student at the Shamokin Area Middle/High School Sept. 9. The charge was filed with Northumberland County Juvenile Services.

Access device fraud

HERNDON - Kathleen M. Levan, 39, of Herndon, reported to state police at Stonington someone used her debit card or number to make a purchase at the Apple Retail Store and Radio Shack at the Park City Mall, Lancaster, between 12:36 and 12:50 p.m. Saturday. Both purchases were made without her knowledge or consent.

Truck stolen

DORNSIFE - Troy A. Stiely, owner of Troy's Auto Sales, Little Mahanoy Township, reported to state police at Stonington someone removed a 1989 Ford F250 Diesel pickup truck from the sales lot between 3 p.m. Sept. 15 and 5:07 p.m. Sept. 20. Anyone with information pertaining to the investigation is asked to contact Trooper Daniel J. Wilk at 570-286-5601.

Driver cited

UPPER AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP - State police at Stonington cited a Mount Carmel woman for careless driving following an investigation into a crash at 8:21 p.m. Saturday along Snydertown Road near Black Mill Road.

Police say Rachaelyn Berezovske, 31, was traveling east on Snydertown Road when she lost control of her 2005 Ford Focus while reading a text message. The Focus left the right side of the roadway and Berezoske brought the vehicle back onto the road, but the Focus left the roadway again, striking a mailbox and rolling over as it re-entered the roadway.

Berezovske sustained minor injuries in the crash and was cited for careless driving, but police said the investigation is ongoing. Assisting state police at the scene were members of the Upper Augusta Fire Company and Americus Hose Company.

Took vehicle

SELINSGROVE - Zachary A. Zerbe, 18, of Selinsgrove, was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle by state police at Stonington after he took his parents' vehicle from 9 p.m. Friday to 2:04 a.m. Saturday without their permission. Zerbe was then arrested in Zerbe Township for an unrelated incident.

Underage drinking

SUNBURY - State police at Stonington charged three known juveniles with underage driving after four juveniles and an adult were encountered along Route 890 at 10:30 p.m. Friday. An investigation showed that three of the four juveniles had been drinking at a residence earlier.

Criminal mischief

ZERBE TOWNSHIP - State police at Stonington said a known 16-year-old removed a license plate Saturday from a vehicle owned by Scott D. Schaffner, of Trevorton, near 321 E. Coal St., Zerbe Township. Minor damage was done to the license plate in the incident.

Gun stolen

ROCKEFELLER TOWNSHIP - Dale L. App, 55, of Sunbury, reported to state police at Stonington someone removed a semi-automatic .22 Marlin rifle from a motorhome he had parked on Plum Creek Road, Rockefeller Township, between 8 p.m. Sept. 1 and 4:25 p.m. Sept. 18.

Human waste

MOUNT CARMEL - Charles W. Matukaitis, 79, of 419 E. Third St., Mount Carmel, was cited by Patrolman William Adamski with disorderly conduct for dumping human waste into the street causing hazardous conditions at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 13.

Forgery

MOUNT CARMEL - Patrolman Kevin Katch has charged Stephanie Allen, 20, of Harrisburg, with forgery, theft and receiving stolen property involving incidents between May 9 and May 11 at 314 N. Turnpike St.

Allen is accused of stealing and forging a check in the amount of $800 belonging to Denise Girardi.
