Drug charges
SHAMOKIN - Georgina M. Dewitt, 32, of 616 E. Cameron St., Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman Raymond Siko II with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia involving an incident at 8:11 p.m. Monday at her residence.
In addition to marijuana, police found two glass smoking pipes at the home.
The charges were filed at the office of Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III.
Drug paraphernalia
MARION HEIGHTS - A Marion Heights couple were charged by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman David Tomtishen with possessing drug paraphernalia at their residence April 30.
Police reported Debbi J. Wolfe, 55, and her husband, Michael Anthony Wolfe, 58, of 437 E. Melrose St., are accused of possessing a four-inch straw with a white powdery substance stuck to both ends.
Anthra Plaza crash
COAL TOWNSHIP - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash shortly before noon Friday at the intersection of Route 901 and the entrance to the Anthra Plaza.
Coal Township Patrolman Chris Williams reported Charles H. Engelberger, of Ashland, had his 1990 Jeep Cherokee stopped for a stop sign on the off ramp of Route 61 leading to Route 901 when he pulled out into the intersection. Police said Engelberger pulled his Jeep into the path of a 1997 Chevrolet Silverado operated by Michael T. Kleman, of Kulpmont, who was traveling east on Route 901.
The collision resulted in extensive damage to Kleman's truck and moderate damage to the Jeep. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Williams said Engelberger will be cited for duties at a stop sign.
Williams, Engelberger and passengers in the vehicles escaped injury.
Assisting at the scene were Shamokin police, AREA Services personnel, firefighters from Brady Fire Company, township fire chiefs Russ Feese and Michael Timco, Coal Township Rescue Squad and fire police.
