Three sentenced in separate DUI cases

SUNBURY - Three defendants charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance were sentenced Monday by Northumberland County President Judge William H. Wiest.

- Stacey Duran, 28, of Kulpmont, was ordered to complete five years intermediate punishment with the first 90 days on house arrest. Duran also was fined $1,500, must pay assorted costs and had her driver's license suspended for 18 months.

Duran was charged by Point Township police with driving under the influence of alcohol in connection with an Aug. 27 incident.

- William Slusser, 43, of Mifflinville, was ordered to serve six days to 12 months in Northumberland County Prison, beginning April 11, and must pay $2,000 in fines plus costs. He had his driver's license suspended for 12 months.

Slusser was charged by Mount Carmel police and state police at Stonington with DUI relating to incidents Sept. 11, 2013, and Dec. 27, 2013, respectively.

- Nicole Albertson, 23, of Milton, was sentenced to three days to six months in county prison and had her driver's license suspended for 12 months. She was fined $1,000 plus costs.

Albertson was charged by Shamokin police with driving under the influence of a controlled substance involving an Aug. 31 incident.
