Simple assault
SHAMOKIN - Patrolman William Zalinski has charged Ryan Allen Wagner, 36, of 325 S. Shamokin St., Shamokin, with simple assault and harassment relating to a disturbance at 9:30 p.m. Sunday at his residence.
Police said Wagner is accused of choking his live-in girlfriend, Amber Pawelczyk, and throwing her to the ground, causing neck abrasions and an injury to her right elbow.
Prior to the assault, Pawelczyk told police Wagner pulled a toddler she was babysitting from her arms.
Wagner was arraigned at 10:30 a.m. Monday by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III and released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
Guilty plea
SHAMOKIN - Christian Krych, 19, of 156 E. Independence St., Apt. 3B, Shamokin, pleaded guilty Tuesday to possession of drug paraphernalia and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $300 fine plus costs and placed on supervised probation for one year.
An additional charge of underage drinking was withdrawn.
Krych was charged by Shamokin Cpl. Bryan Primerano in connection with a Dec. 12 incident at his residence.
Disorderly conduct
SHAMOKIN - Thomas J. Feudale, 49, of 545 Sixth St., rear apartment, Coal township, pleaded guilty Tuesday to disorderly conduct and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $300 fine plus costs and placed on supervised probation for one year.
An additional charge of public drunkenness was withdrawn.
Feudale was charged by Coal Township Patrolman David Sage in connection with a Dec. 12 incident at Sixth and Main Streets, Ranshaw.
