Aggravated assault

ELYSBURG - Christopher F. Fausnaught, 43, of 235 Roadarmel Lane, Paxinos, was charged with burglary, aggravated assault, criminal trespass, simple assault and criminal mischief following a fight at 102 Nottingham Drive at 8:05 p.m. Jan. 2.

Ralpho Township Police Officer Chris Dailey reported in court documents that when he was called to the home for a domestic incident, he was confronted by several people, one of them covered in blood and holding a wooden club. The victim, Lewis Weikel, told police he and a female were in the Nottingham Drive residence when Fausnaught came to the home and kicked the door open, entered the apartment and assaulted Weikel with his fists and a rolling pin.

Fausnaught was arraigned Jan. 3 and released on $10,000 bail. A preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, of Mount Carmel, is scheduled for Wednesday.

Failure to show

ATLAS - David J. Swatski, 32, of 543 E. North St., Marion Heights, and Chloe C. Wydra, 36, of 299 Ralpho Road, Elysburg, were charged by Mount Carmel Township Police Officer Kelly Campbell with failure to make a required appearance after both were ordered to appear to be fingerprinted at the township's police station, as ordered by the court.

Both individuals were ordered to appear for separate preliminary hearings on the charges on Jan. 28.

Drug charges filed

MOUNT CARMEL - Borough police charged Judith M. McGinley, 51, of 129 W. Third St., with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and delivery of a controlled substance following a probation search at a residence on Maple Street on Dec. 3.

Police said they found syringes, a silver spoon and a tin foil smoking pipe. Police also found prescription medication in different branded bottles in McGinley's purse.

A preliminary hearing on the charges against McGinley is scheduled for Jan. 28.

False ID

MOUNT CARMEL TOWNSHIP - Michael T. Dower, 19, of 14 S. 10th St., Ashland, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, public drunkenness, giving false identification to authorities and a pedestrian violation after he was found walking along Route 901 near Locust Summit at 11:57 a.m. Dec. 22, and allegedly in possession of a crack pipe and a baggie with a white residue in it.

The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Township Police Officer Kelly Campbell. Dower is scheduled for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, of Mount Carmel, on Jan. 28.

Two charged

SAGON - Michael D. Leaveck, 20, of 48 S. Locust St., Mount Carmel, and Dustin J. Murray, 19, of 505 E. Melrose St., Marion Heights, were charged with drug and alcohol offenses after a traffic stop at 11:34 p.m. Dec. 6 in the area of Sagon Road, Mount Carmel Township.

Mount Carmel Township Police Patrolman Matthew Filarski reported in court documents that while at a accident scene on Sagon Road, police observed a vehicle coming at them at a high rate of speed. When they stopped the vehicle, the driver, Murray, said he was having problems with the brakes.

Police reported open containers of alcohol were found inside the vehicle. The two were taken into custody and the vehicle was impounded. A search by police turned up more alcohol and marijuana inside it.

Both men were charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a small amount of marijuana, underage drinking and a violation of the open container law. Murray was also cited for careless driving. Preliminary hearings for Murray and Leaveck are scheduled for Jan. 28.

Prohibited weapon

MOUNT CARMEL - Chad C. Zerby, 19, of 137-139 S. Orange St., Apt. 1, was charged with a prohibited weapons offense and disorderly conduct after being found with a knife on his person outside his apartment building.

Inside his jacket, police also found three air-soft pistols and a homemade club made out of solid steel. Also in his possession were three other air-soft and BB guns, police said.

Zerby was arraigned Wednesday and released on $10,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled before Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones on Wednesday.

Endangerment

ATLAS - Mount Carmel Township Police charged Amber M. Miller, 25, of 323 W. Saylor St. with endangering the welfare of a child, possession of drug paraphernalia, public nuisances and disorderly conduct after a probation visit at her home Oct. 8 turned up deplorable conditions in the home and smoking devices and packages of synthetic marijuana. The property was later condemned by Mount Carmel Township Chief Brian Hollenbush.

Miller was arraigned Monday and released on $5,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.

Corruption of minors

MARION HEIGHTS - Natasha Fetterman, 28, of 91 Center St., Aristes, was charged by Mount Carmel Township police with criminal conspiracy, corruption of minors, and selling or furnishing alcohol to underage drinkers.

Patrolman Matthew Filarski reported in court documents Fetterman and another individual provided alcohol to several individuals inside a home at 509 E. Clermont St., Marion Heights, Aug. 17.

She was arraigned Wednesday and released on $10,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.

Scattering rubbish

COAL TOWNSHIP - Police charged Robert Wetzel Jr. 23, of 202 Walnut St., Ashland, with scattering rubbish for dumping approximately 15 bags of household trash in October in a wooded area east of Coal Run on land owned by the Susquehanna Coal Company.

Missing teen

MILTON - State police in Milton are asking for help in locating a 17-year-old girl who has been missing since Friday.

Jessika Ann James, of 1215 Mansion Road, Milton, was last seen leaving her residence and getting into a vehicle at around 3:30 p.m. Friday, police said.

She is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs approximately 200 pounds and has blue eyes and dark hair. She was wearing a black sweatshirt and jeans and has a lower left lip piercing.
