Hit-and-run crash

COAL TOWNSHIP - Three vehicles were damaged in a hit-and-run crash at 2:26 a.m. Monday in the 1400 block of West Mulberry Street.

Township police said a Chevrolet SUV was traveling east on Mulberry Street and struck a parked 2012 Toyota sedan, owned by Benjamin J. Kozlowski, 47, of 1420 W. Mulberry St., causing heavy damage to the vehicle. The sedan was pushed into a 2006 Dodge van, owned by Benjamin A. Kozlowski, 82, also of 1420 W. Mulberry St. The SUV also struck the Dodge van, and the driver fled the scene on foot.

All three vehicles were towed from the scene. Police said the accident is under investigation.

Motorcycle accident

JACKSON TOWNSHIP - A Halifax man was flown to a hospital for treatment following a motorcycle crash at 4:15 p.m. Friday on Armstrong Valley Road near Mountain House Road in Jackson Township, Dauphin County.

State police at Lykens reports Robert Holmes, 74, of Halifax, was traveling on Armstrong Valley Road on a 2012 Honda Tri-Glide motorcycle when he drove into the path of oncoming traffic and struck a 2005 Chevrolet 4500 truck, driven by Michael A. Hoover, of Herndon.

Holmes was airlifted to Hershey Medical Center for treatment. Hoover was not injured in the wreck.

Two-car crash

COAL TOWNSHIP - No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at entrance of Walmart Supercenter, Route 61, at 4:56 p.m. Friday.

Township police said Michael Ludwig, 29, of 230 Doutyville Road, Shamokin, in a 1996 Chevrolet and was attempting to cross the intersection from the Plaza at Coal Township to Walmart when his vehicle was struck by a 2005 Chevrolet, driven by Brittany Bowers, 24, of 246 S. Peral St., Shamokin, who was attempting to turn left out of Walmart to travel north on Route 61.

The drivers were not injured, nor was a passenger in Ludwig's vehicle, Dean Kramer, 26, of Shamokin. Both vehicles were driven from the scene. Police cited Bowers for the crash.

Retail theft

SHAMOKIN - City police cited Mary T. Ruiz, 32, of 3 S. Shamokin St., for retail theft after she allegedly put several items into her purse while shopping at the Dollar General store on Independence Street at 6:05 p.m. Dec. 22.

Dog violation

SHAMOKIN - Denise Lucas, of 121 N. Rock St., was cited by city police Patrolman Raymond J. Siko for violating the city's dog ordinance by allowing her dogs to continually bark at 1:15 p.m. Oct. 28. Lucas was given a ticket for the offense originally, but it went unpaid, according to police.
