Trespass charges

COAL TOWNSHIP - Three men were charged with defiant trespass after a pickup not licensed to be on Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area property was found stuck in a mud hole, according to Coal Township police.

Robert Deeter, 28, of 209 W. Market St., Trevorton, was allegedly trespassing when he drove on AOAA property Sunday, police said, ignoring posted signs. When his pickup truck became stuck, he sought help from Timothy Klouser, 45, of 323 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton, and Mike Deeter, 30, of 16 First St., Wilburton. The three were stopped by AOAA officials.

Charges will be filed by Patrolman Dave Sage at the office of Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III, Shamokin.

Traffic citations

MOUNT CARMEL - Joshua T. Hill, 27, of Marion Heights, was cited Wednesday with four traffic citations related to a hit-and-run accident Sunday night in Marion Heights: accidents with damaged to unattended vehicle, fraudulent use of registration plate, driving without insurance, driving an unregistered vehicle. Mount Carmel Township Patrolman Kelly Campbell issued the citations.
