Wanted man
COAL TOWNSHIP - Police are still searching for James Latshaw, 48, of 12 E. Arch St., Shamokin, after he fled on foot shortly before noon Friday in the 400 block of West Chestnut Street.
Latshaw is wanted on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment after he allegedly threatened to kill his girlfriend, choked her and held a knife to her. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to immediately contact police.
Distributor cited
COAL TOWNSHIP - Champion Beverages, a beer distributor located in the Anthra Plaza, was cited by the state's Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement on Sept. 25 for allegedly failing to maintain records required by law concerning sales and inventory.
Table and chairs stolen
COAL TOWNSHIP - Vicky Woodland, 57, of 170 E. Dewart St., reported that sometime between Sept. 26 and Oct. 1, a wooden mahogany dining room set she purchased at public auction for $10 on Sept. 26, was stolen from a front porch at 41 Sheridan St., according to township police.
Hit and run
COAL TOWNSHIP - Police continue to investigate a hit-and-run crash that occurred at 3 a.m. Sunday in the 800 block of West Walnut Street.
Township police say two vehicles, a red Chevrolet Cruze and a silver Chevrolet Venture van were both struck on the driver's side, resulting in moderate damage. Police said, a motorcycle was seen leaving the area where both vehicles were parked.

Pleads guilty
SHAMOKIN - Darnel Roque, 33, of 231 W. Willow St., Shamokin, pleaded guilty Tuesday to disorderly conduct and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $300 fine plus costs and placed on supervised probation for one year.
An additional charge of obstructing administration of the law was withdrawn.
Roque was charged by Shamokin Patrolman Nathan Rhodes in connection with a Sept. 13 fight in the 200 block of West Willow Street in which he kicked and head-butted the back of a police car window while in custody.
