Township gas theft
PITMAN - Police said someone stole fuel from tanks at the Eldred Township building, 154 Ridge Road, between 2 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday.
Trooper Peter F. Mohn of the state police at Schuylkill Haven is investigating the incident in which one or more actors broke an overhead light bulb in the parking lot near two 500-gallon gas tanks, cut the padlocks off both tanks, stole fuel and fled.
Police did not say how much fuel was stolen.

Deer causes crash
PAXINOS - A Snyder County woman escaped about 5:30 p.m. Friday in a one-vehicle crash on Bottle Road.
Angie Olson, of Shamokin Dam, told police she was driving north when a deer darted into the path of her car as she rounded a slight curve. She swerved to avoid hitting the animal and her car mounted a steep embankment on the east side of the road, where it became disabled.
Elysburg and Overlook firefighters, ambulance, EMTs and fire police responded. Traffic on the two-lane road west of here was reduced to one lane while the vehicle was removed.

Bike found
