Burglary charges

PAXINOS - State police charged Charles A. Klischer, 31, and Melanie J. Guinther, 33, both of 5681 Route 61, Paxinos, with burglary and related crimes following an incident at an antique business at the intersection of Routes 61 and 487 at 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

According to a criminal complaint, the owners of the antique store, Judith Sandra and Ricky Walters, observed two individuals with lights on inside their storage area. The owners called police and confronted Klischer and Guinther, and Guinther fled from the scene.

Klischer was taken into custody and Guinther was found later at the suspects' shared apartment. Inside the storage area, small toy cars, a slate blackboard and other items were found in a crate piled in front of the door as if someone intended to take the items. Police said Klischer and Guinther gave statements and blamed the other for the idea to take the items.

State police charged both individuals with burglary, criminal trespass, criminal attempt to commit theft by unlawful taking and loitering and prowling at night.

Disorderly conduct

COAL TOWNSHIP - Roger Shaw, 42, of 1012 W. Spruce St., was cited by Cpl. Joshua Wynn for disorderly conduct after Shaw was found intoxicated and passed out on a public sidewalk Wednesday.

Underage drinking

SHAMOKIN - Jeffrey E. Barber, 19, of 124 E. Chestnut St., was charged with a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct and cited for public drunkenness and underage drinking following incidents at Wendy's and Dunkin' Donuts at 8:56 p.m. Monday.

Shamokin City Police Patrolman Scott Weaver said in court documents a call was received about an intoxicated male near Wendy's yelling at people. When the authorities arrived, the man had left the restaurant and was reportedly near Dunkin' Donuts.

When police arrived, they found Barber in the area claiming he had been jumped by others, but witnesses said he wasn't fighting with anyone and was rolling on the ground by himself. Police took him back to his residence, which was locked.

Barber told police he would get in and after a while, police heard glass breaking and found Barber on the roof of the residence kicking a window. After he attempted to get down from the roof, Barber allegedly disappeared between two residences and police determined he got inside and would not answer the door.

The charges were filed with Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III, of Shamokin.

Disorderly conduct

SHAMOKIN - Kenneth Wallin, 22, of 227 S. Market St., Shamokin, was cited for disorderly conduct by city police Patrolman Raymond Siko II for an incident at the intersection of Market and Spruce streets at 1:17 a.m. March 9.

Public drunkenness

SHAMOKIN - Police Chief Darwin Tobias III cited Theresa M. Coreen, 56, of 307 W. Spruce St., Shamokin, for public drunkenness after she was found to be highly intoxicated near Franklin and Commerce streets at 5 p.m. June 21.

Retail theft

SHAMOKIN - Carrie Feudale, 23, of 1133 W. Wood St., Coal Township, was charged with retail theft by city police Cpl. Jarrod Scandle after video surveillance showed Feudale allegedly took several energy supplements from a store display and removed them from the store without paying for them May 9. The charge was filed with Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III, of Shamokin.

Underage drinking

SHAMOKIN - Blake Boyer, 20, of 510 E. Fifth St., Mount Carmel, and Dylan R. Kane, 19, of 410 N. Shamokin St., were cited for underage drinking by city police Patrolman Shane Mowery after an incident at 2:31 a.m. June 27 near Sunbury and Washington streets.

Disorderly conduct

SHAMOKIN - City police Patrolman Mark Costa cited Jason White, 31, of 1004 N. Orange St., with disorderly conduct for using obscene language in public after police told him to stop at 4:52 p.m. June 26 near Orange and Cameron streets.

Gas theft

SHAMOKIN - Leeann Long, 35, of 1305 W. Arch St., Coal Township, was charged with a felony count of retail theft following several incidents at the Turkey Hill Minit Market on Second Street.

According to court documents filed by Shamokin City Police Cpl. Jarrod Scandle, Long allegedly pumped gas March 31 and April 7, 13 and 14 at the store without paying for it. The total amount of gas stolen, police said, was $98.03.

The charges were filed with Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III, of Shamokin.

Harassment

SHAMOKIN - Evelyn Yost, 42, of 1778 W. Chestnut St., Coal Township, and Kristen Klinger, 23, of 15 N. Diamond St., were cited for harassment after Patrolman Raymond Siko reported the two subjected another person to physical contact during a May 15 incident at 815 E. Sunbury St.

Public drunkenness

SHAMOKIN - Michael Bell, 25, of 51 N. Second St., was cited for public drunkenness by city police Patrolman Raymond Siko II after being found under the influence of alcohol at 2:59 a.m. Monday near Independence and Orange streets.
