Guilty plea
SHAMOKIN - Gary L. Reigle II, 28, of 236 S. Coal St., Shamokin, pleaded guilty Tuesday to disorderly conduct and was ordered to pay a $300 fine plus costs and placed on supervised probation for one year.
An additional charge of public drunkenness was withdrawn.
Reigle was charged by Shamokin Patrolman William Zalinski in connection with a June 15 disturbance at his residence. Police said Reigle fell through a second-story window onto a porch roof due to his intoxicated condition and argued with police and neighbors at about 4:15 p.m.
Fugitive charged
STONINGTON - Stanley Lesnefsky, 54, of 1343 Plum Creek Road, Sunbury, was arraigned at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III for being a fugitive from justice and released on his own recognizance.
Trooper Mark Adams, who filed the charge, said Lesnefsky was wanted on a warrant issued by Gloucester County Sheriff's Office in New Jersey and another warrant issued by Camden County Probation Department for a probation violation. At 3 p.m. Tuesday, police said Lesnefsky came to the state police station at Stonington for fingerprints for a prior arrest, where it was discovered he was wanted by New Jersey authorities.
Terroristic threats
MOUNT CARMEL - Charles Allen Bortell, 55, of 434 N. Locust St., Mount Carmel, was charged by Police Chief Todd Owens with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct involving a May 9 incident at his residence.
According to a criminal complaint filed at the office of Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, Bortell called the Social Security Disability Administration in Scranton and claimed he was going to "shoot up the local school and all of the kids" because he was frustrated over getting to an appointment at the Scranton office and was upset with the "system."
Bortell was arraigned by Jones Tuesday and committed to Northumberland County Prison in Sunbury in lieu of $30,000 bail.
Drug paraphernalia
MOUNT CARMEL TOWNSHIP - Tanner A. Hess, 19, of 229 W. Girard St., Atlas, was charged by Patrolman Kelly Campbell with possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness involving a May 27 disturbance on Railroad Street under the Viaduct.
Police said Hess, who admitted to smoking Spice and taking Melatonin, was found in possession of Bugler cigarette papers that are commonly used to ingest Spice.
Police reported Hess was on probation in Columbia County. Probation officers from Columbia County took Hess into custody and transported him to Columbia County Prison in Bloomsburg.
DUI
RALPHO TOWNSHIP - Patrolman Stephen Spade charged Louise Retallack, 60, of 208 Black Bear Drive, Catawissa, with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of marijuana and a stop sign violation relating to a May 11 incident at Maple and West Center streets in Elysburg.
Dog registration violations
RALPHO TOWNSHIP - Chloe C. Wydra, 36, of 299 Ralpho Road, Elysburg, was charged by state dog warden Kristen Penn with failing to renew an annual registration for 2014, harboring a dangerous dog and failing to pay a $500 registration fee for the canine.
Wydra pleaded guilty April 17, 2013, to harboring a dangerous dog, namely a German Shepherd called "Jake," during a proceeding before Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones.
Drug paraphernalia
MOUNT CARMEL TOWNSHIP - Patrolman Kelly Campbell has charged Keifer M. Zsido, 22, of 149 W. Sixth St., Mount Carmel, with possession of drug paraphernalia and restrictions on alcoholic beverages involving a May 12 incident along Route 61.
Police said Zsido was found in possession of an open beer bottle, two unopened bottles, cigarette rolling papers, an orange pill bottle, bags containing a small amount of green and brown vegetable material and aluminum foil.
