Walls damaged

COAL TOWNSHIP - David Gulba, 35, of 802 W. Coal St., Trevorton, is charged by Patrolman Christopher Lapotsky with criminal mischief for alleged damages caused inside a residence he had rented at 1515 W. Lynn St.

Gulba is accused of knocking holes and shooting BBs into the walls and also damaging the outside aluminum siding sometime between Dec. 27 and 31, resulting in damage totaling $2,977.

The home is owned by Ted Long, 41, of Catawissa.

Public drunkenness

COAL TOWNSHIP - Stanley Zelinski, 52, of 50 Sheridan St., was cited by Patrolman Chad Yoder for public drunkenness. Police said he stumbled and fell in the 1500 block of Pulaski Avenue about 5:52 p.m. Friday, striking his face and arm. He was taken by AREA Services Ambulance to Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital for further evaluation.

Dairy disturbance

SUNBURY - State police said an unknown person poured milk into the gas tank of a vehicle owned by Mark Vincent Toccket, 51, of Sunbury, sometime between 10 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday. The incident occurred at 162 Shikellamy Ave., Upper Augusta Township. The investigation is ongoing.

Tool thief

DELANO - State police said an unknown actor cut a padlock from a storage shed and stole $10,000 worth of tools from the Allan A. Myers Co., of Worcester, sometime between 3 p.m. Saturday and 6:30 a.m. Sunday.

The incident occurred at Route 1013 and Interstate 81, Delano Township. A Honda 5000 watt generator, Honda 6500 watt generator, two six-foot levels, a Stihl carb saw, a tool kit a Paslode nail gun, a Skil circular saw and a Bosch hammer drill were taken.

Fire and death investigation

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - State police said Monday that Gerald Everett Hale, 46, of Schuylkill Haven, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Police responded to a structure fire at 30 S. Shue String Lane, South Manheim Township, at 8:40 a.m. Friday and found Hale deceased from an apparent gunshot wound in the front yard. The cause of the fire remains undetermined.

Attempted burglary

SUNBURY - According to state police, Jeffrey Douglas Renn, 34, of 105 S. Main St., Sunbury, reported an attempted burglary at his residence.

The unknown perpetrator attempted to enter Renn's residence between 4 and 9:30 p.m. Sunday by breaking the plastic glass on a door. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 570-286-5601.
