Tools stolen
COAL TOWNSHIP - Police here are investigating a burglary at 1414 W. Willow St. involving the theft of numerous items including a Surebonder nail gun, a Makita table saw, rolls of electrical wire and other construction materials.
Police said the burglary occurred between 1:30 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday at a home owned by Len Bellis, of 1522 W. Fern St.
The stolen items are valued at approximately $1,500.

Retail theft
COAL TOWNSHIP - Monique Thomas, 19, of 3860 Upper Road, Shamokin, and Angelik Thomas, 24, of Philadelphia, will be charged by Coal Township police with retail theft in connection with an incident at Walmart Supercenter at 7 p.m. May 17.
Police said Monique Thomas is accused of stealing $70.21 in merchandise, while Angelik Thomas allegedly stole $408.39 worth of merchandise.
Fugitive apprehended
DELANO TOWNSHIP - State police at Frackville reported Jose Antonio Torres Sanchez, 34, of Orlando, Fla., who was wanted on an outstanding warrant from the Orange County Sheriff's Office in Orlando, Fla., was taken into custody following a traffic stop at 12:40 p.m. Monday on Interstate 81 in this Schuylkill County.
Sanchez was incarcerated at Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville after failing to post $25,000 cash bail at his arraignment before on-call Magisterial District Judge James Ferrier of Orwigsburg. He will await extradition to Florida.
Motorcyclist flown to hospital
RYAN TOWNSHIP - Allan J. Jones, 66, of Barnesville, was flown by helicopter to Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown after suffering serious injuries in a motorcycle crash Monday on Brock Mountain Drive (Route 1011) in this Schuylkill County Township.
Jones was listed Tuesday in critical condition, according to a hospital spokesman.
State police at Frackville say Jones was driving a 2013 Harley-Davidson Screaming Eagle north at about 6 p.m. when his cycle exited the road via the east berm and traveled through a wooded area before coming to rest. Jones, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle, police said.
Police said the accident occurred approximately 1,300 feet east of Front Road.
Cash, revolver taken from home
TUSCARORA - George Machay, of 735 Broad St., Tuscarora, reported someone entered his residence between Thursday and Monday and removed $3,800 in cash and a silver Smith and Wesson (model 66) .357 revolver before fleeing the scene.

Simple assault
COAL TOWNSHIP - Glen A. Shurock Jr., 21, of 815 E. Sunbury St., Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman Joshua Wynn with simple assault and harassment involving a May 15 disturbance at 1778 W. Chestnut St.
Police reported Shurock is accused of biting his brother, Nathan Shurock, in the right shoulder area and attempting to punch him at 9:15 p.m.
Registration violation
COAL TOWNSHIP - David Serrano, 35, formerly of Philadelphia, who is a Tier 3 Megan's Law offender, was charged by Patrolman Chad Yoder with failing to comply with registration requirements under Megan's Law.
Police said Serrano moved to Main Street in Ranshaw between May 8 and May 22 without notifying state police about his change of address.
Disorderly conduct
SHAMOKIN - Nathan Becker, 25, and Harry Baughman, 54, both of 331 S. Rock St., Shamokin, pleaded guilty Tuesday to disorderly conduct and were each ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $300 fine plus costs and placed on supervised probation for one year.
Charges of simple assault and harassment were withdrawn against Becker. Charges of harassment and public drunkenness were withdrawn against Baughman.
Becker and Baughman were charged by Shamokin Patrolman Raymond Siko II in connection with an April 21 fight in the 300 block of South Rock Street.
Guilty plea
SHAMOKIN - Johnathan R. Grove, 26, of 1465 Pulaski Ave., pleaded guilty Tuesday to possession of drug paraphernalia and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $300 fine plus costs.
He was charged by Coal Township Patrolman Edward Purcell in connection with a Nov. 24 incident at his residence.
Pleads guilty
SHAMOKIN - Samantha Bell, 25, of 417 S. Coal St., Shamokin, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a misdemeanor of disorderly conduct and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $300 fine plus costs and placed on supervised probation for six months.
A public nuisance charge was withdrawn.
Bell was charged by Shamokin Cpl. Bryan Primerano with allowing garbage to accumulate in her rear and front yards earlier this month.
Strikes deer
SUNBURY - A Sunbury man escaped injury after crashing into a deer about 9 p.m. Monday along Snydertown Road in Upper Augusta Township.
Timothy E. Gelvin, 46, was driving a 2000 Ford F150 west near Clay Pond Road when the accident occurred. Police said he and a passenger, a 9-year-old Sunbury boy, were wearing seat belts.
Truck stolen
SUNBURY - A black 2013 International flatbed was stolen between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. Friday from the Kampco Industries parking lot along Snydertown Road in Upper Augusta Township. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at Stonington at 570-286-5601.
Harassment
ELYSBURG - Adam Reed, 23, of Elysburg, is charged with harassment by Trooper David Townsend. Reed is accused of threatening Katlyn Treaster, 21, of Sunbury, at 2 p.m. Monday along Horne Drive in Ralpho Township.
Crash
JACKSON TOWNSHIP - Chad C. Walters, 23, of Mattydale, N.Y., crashed after a malfunction in his 1992 Dodge Stealth's steering/suspension system occurred.
State police said Walters was traveling north in the northbound lane of State Route 147 when the malfunction occurred. The vehicle veered to the right, onto the east shoulder of the roadway, and traveled approximately 50 feet before coming to a rest at the intersection of Route 147 and Reservoir Road. Walters was not injured. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
