FAA facility burglarized
TOWER CITY - The Federal Aviation Administration communications facility in Porter Township, Schuylkill County, was burglarized sometime in the past three months.
Someone entered a fenced off area, pried open a metal door to the facility and stole tools and equipment used to test, service and maintain the communications equipment. Several spools of red and green insulated wire, two tool boxes and a portable eyewash station were also stolen.
The incident occurred between Feb. 25 and Friday at Gold Mine and Tower roads.

Car vandalized
SUNBURY - Lou Ann Shaffer, of 153 Captain Bloom Road, reported to state police at Stonington that sometime between Saturday and 2 a.m. Sunday that someone used a hard object to scratch the paint from her Subaru Imprezza while it was parked at her home in Rockefeller Township. Xbox stolen
KULPMONT - State police at Stonington say a 19-year-old borough male stole an Xbox 360 from the Chestnut Street home of Donna Casper, 41, on Saturday afternoon. No further information was provided.
Mailbox stolen
SNYDERTOWN - Frank Bellace reported to state police at Stonington that an antique cast iron post office mail box was stolen from his enclosed porch along Snydertown Road in Shamokin Township between May 10 and Saturday. The box is red, white and blue, and is 12-by-12-by-24 inches. It is valued at $500. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 570-286-5601.
Suspected DUI
SHAMOKIN - Charges of driving under the influence are pending against a Coal Township resident and a Shamokin man whose vehicles were stopped by state troopers in separate incidents in the Shamokin and Coal Township areas early Saturday morning. Charges are pending the results of blood testing.
